Total Annihilation: The Core Contingency (PC Games, 1998)

The Core Contingency is a 1998 expansion to the popular 1997 real-time strategy computer game Total Annihilation. It contains extra units and maps, as well as a campaign of 25 missions and a long-awaited (although glitchy) official map editor.

The Core Contingency picks up where the original game finishes with the Arm ending, in which the Arm achieved final victory over the Core in its homeworld Core Prime, in their Galactic War of over 4,000 years. With the Core supposedly wiped out of existence, the Arm undergoes one-hundred years of reconstructing civilization.

u have the ability to create ur own missions and basically have a never ending game the true battle has just begun!!!

The expansion to my all-time favorite RTS adds everything I could want in an expansion.

The Core Contingency (which I'll refer to as CC) expands on the story of the 4 thousand year war between the Arm and Core with a new campaign, more worlds (and maps), and nearly a hundred new units to play with. I think the new units are just as great as the originals and they add a lot more variety to the game, like the all-terrain hovercrafts (that actually hover) and minelayers.

Anyone who has and enjoys the original Total Annihilation either has this expansion, or should be getting it immediately!!

This was a great expansion to the game I got earlier. I just love these games, and best of all I recieved it in a nice timely mannar!

When I first got this game on ebay, I was exited to have found it at such a low price in comparison with some other places I had looked. The next day I realized that I had bought the expansion that wouldn't work without the original game. (A mistake I had made before.) So I paced an order for the original game from the same seller expecting it to come a little later. After ordering the games on Saturday, I received both of them on Monday. (I would have but some sort of emphasis mark there if I knew how.) This came in handy because you know how antsy kids get when they've got a new game but aren't able to play it.
