Good for the basics... that's about it

All in all this is a decent laptop, though it depends on what you want to use it for. Based on my experiences, it is best suited for those who simply want Internet access but little else. It comes standard with some pretty decent features such as a good amount of memory, a ridiculous amount of trial software and google desktop. Unfortunately, it also comes standard with a ton of incompatibilities. It has a PC doctor feature, however that feature is incompatible with every major antivirus program with the exception of Norton. Don't get me wrong, Norton is good, but many people have Comcast which offers free McAfee subscriptions and of course... it is useless on this machine.
It also shadow copies everything, burning through memory and is missing the PC restore function for when you get sick of defragmenting and want to restore it to factory settings. The keyboard is flimsy at best, keys pop out all of the time through normal use. Granted on eBay you can buy a whole new keyboard for $10, but if you don't know that it's $160 to replace via geek squad.
All in all I'd give it a 3, which I think is fair. If you do a system score right out of the box it only ever gets a 2. What ever happened to mine? It became a DVD player for my 4 year old.
