Staind. Love them or hate em, you can't deny you've heard a lot about them in the last couple years. Let's say you're a recent fan though, and wondering about picking up this Staind title for your collection. Should you?
Well, that's a big maybe. Staind is a band that has drasticly changed over their career. From this cd to Dysfunction, to Break The Cycle, to 14 Shades of Gray, to Chapter V, that band has really messed with their sound.
If you were with them at the start, loving Mudshuvel and such. And also enjoying Cycle, then I recommend you pick this one up. After all it is just as hard hitting, and in a lot of ways even more emotional than their later work. On the other hand, if you are more of a 14 Shades or their softer stuff, well maybe you're not really quite ready for this one.
It's really a great cd, but not for the faint of heart.

amazing cd, a must for anyone who claims to be a staind fan. Good original material, that was written before the corporate music buffs got together and determined a way which would encourage the most sales for their respective companies. This cd is great and would be an excellent addition for any hard rock collection

Love the more "heavy metal" and extremely mean sounding side that this album shows off. Staind's lyrics are usually towards the darker side of life & this one is certainly no exception. This one is definately not for those who like Staind's softer side and I think the artwork implies all those statements all too well. Anything that looks like an album cover that Slayer would love is probably not a "nice" album.
My only complaint is the cheap sounding vocals although I am sure when it was put out it was on a limited budget as with almost all bands.
Great album for those who like the heavier side of Staind and even for us old school metal heads.

Staind TormentedThis, Staind's debute cd is by far the most gritty music that they have put out to date. Like nothing else since.

Great CD!!! I've been wanting it for a whileI'm a big staind fan and this CD completed the collection. I couldn't seem to buy it anywhere else. The CD was in excellent condition and I listen to very often.
