VROOM VROOM!!!

The controls are simple and responsive, as is the case for most SNES games. You can set your own personal controls or use the default ones. The fun factor is average because this is a racing game and you do go around in circles. It is fun, however, passing up other cars like they're standing still. Your car will take damage if you collide with another car. You only have one car to choose from, but you can choose from about ten different paint jobs and you can upgrade it with so many different things it's unbelievable. Even front, side, and rear body armor. What also gives the gameplay a plus is the fact that anyone with a speck a gaming experience can pick it up and play it with ease.
The Story
Not much story here. You basically are a person racing against other people trying to get first place to advance to the next country. It's pretty much the same for all racing games.
Audio/Video
This is where the game shines, in my opinion. The opening song can get you pumped every time you pop in the cartridge. About every other four courses has different music so you won't be hearing the same thing over and over again. You can tell the developers made good use of the SNES's abilities by just hearing the music. It has the perfect rhythm for a racing style game. You'll find yourself humming the tunes later in the day, trust me. The overall best part of this game.
Replayability
Yes, there is a lot of this. I can play this game all day, every day and never get enough of it. It will take a good week for you to complete all of the courses, which are divided by countries. The game does feature two player compatibility, but it is much more fun playing against the AI. I still play this game to this date.
To Buy or Rent?
Considering that you can't but this game at a Wal-Mart anymore your best bet would be to get it off the Internet. If your into old school racing games this is the game for you. Rental is not an option, since the real fun will take you more than five days. Overall, this game was one of the best racing games for the SNES and, don't worry, it's worth your while to take a look at it.
