Top Cat - The Complete Series (DVD, 2004)

I don't like the fact that the seller never sent it to me!! I made the purchase of two items in good faith from this seller & never rec'd. either of them!!! I rec'd. nothing other than a few excuses, short & kurt by Emails from seller whenever I tried to inquire of - "why was I not getting them from her!!" I tried to be very kind, curtious & patient at all times when contacting this seller, but rec'd. nothing but a few long awaited excuses, grief, & a kurt non cooperative attitude from this seller!! So this transaction was not a good experience to be able to rate for your review. For anyone who loves the show Top Cat, this box set is perfect to add to your collection. It contains all original 30 episodes and alot of special feature content.

I watched this series as a kid and loved it. It still stands up today. Excellent animation and good story lines. If you love cartoons and want a good laugh, I recommend this series.

This is a little slow paced--especially for today's generation. The jokes are a bit outdated but kids laugh with the laugh track. Top Cat is collectible in comics so we bought it.I remember it as a kid. It is cute. If kids like anime--they may pass on this.

This item is a well packaged, excellent quality, comprehensive set of the Top Cat cartoon series. A favorite of mine as a child, I bought this set as a gift for a child with disabilities and it is providing him with many hours of enjoyment.

I watched this when I was a kid and thought, why not get it for my daughter to watch? We absolutely love it. We have enjoyed so much time together watching different episodes. We don't watch TV any more so it was nice to get this and to have some real good laughs with my girl. I sure would recommend this to any one who would like to watch some good, clean cartoons and then sit back and laugh and laugh some more!

This is a great way to relive your childhood cartoon experience and to share it with your children they are no longer on standard tv so have your own and watch crisp clear pictures again,I did and it was fun.

Brought back great memories...Top Cat has always been my favorite cartoon character of all time. My ten year old son enjoys watching these episodes as much as I do. Funny and with a "mature" touch.

Top Cat may not be one of the most popular Hanna-Barbera series, but it ranks as one of the best series they ever did. It is one of those rare shows where everything works. It has excellent character designs, smart dialogue, funny sight gags, extremely likable characters, a great voice cast, and one of the catchiest theme songs ever (after watching and rewatching the DVDs, I think it's safe to say it's impossible to get tired of the Top Cat song). Warner Home Video should be commended for giving TC the royal treatment on DVD with a set filled with an array of amazing extras. We cartoon fans probably owe a lot of thanks to Hanna-Barbera expert, Earl Kress, for playing a big role in putting together such a top-notch package.

I GREW UP ON THIS CARTOON AND LEARNED A LOT FROM IT WHEN I WAS A CHILD.I THOUGHT IT WAS THE GREATEST CARTOON EVER MADE AND WISH THE CHILDREN OF TODAY COULD BENEFIT FROM THE LESSONS THEY TEACH TODAY. PUT IT BACK ON FOR FREE.

A great collection of one of Hanna BARBARRAS classic cartoons, a show young and old can enjoy. All of HB cartoon series out on dvd are worth buying if not just to remember the laughs they gave us a kids and still do!

If you compare this cartoon to todays product. It'd be hard to see where todays product is better. I don't feel that enhanced computer graphics add anything to the entertainment value. To me, it's all about the quality of the characters and the story line. These are all very strong. The underlying message is what does it for me. And Top Cat, certainly does it for me. This is quality entertainment for children. Far better than the rubbish produced today. Sure I like Family Guy, South Park and Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends and King of the Hill. But they really arn't for children now are they?
Top Cat, teaches kids correct values in a funny situational way. I love the anti establishment slant it presents. Perfect for todays screwed up world.

Top Cat is one of first cartoons,that I remember as a kid. When I saw the dvd and it was the complete set of season one, I thought that would get to look at these cartoons,that I haven't seen in decades.To go down memory lane when I was a real young kid, which memories did come back while watching the cartoons. The jokes, and situations, might be a little timely behind the times,but kids will enjoy the cartoons.

This series was not one of Hanna-Barbera's best but it is still an enjoyable cartoon to watch. O.K. for a couple of rainy afternoons.

The Top Cat Complete Series on DVD is one the best Hanna-Barbera animated series ever produced. It came along around the same time as the Flintstones so the animation styles are similar. The shows are all 22 minutes long and I was very impressed that all 30 episodes were included. The series only ran for one season and why it did not last longer is beyond me. In this collection you see Top Cat and his buddies always trying to raise some dough all the while under officer Dibble's nose. The alley that Top Cat hales from is part of Dibble's beat and he always keeps a close watch on Top Cat and his pals; Benny the Ball, Choo-Choo, the Brain, Fancy and Spook. The series develops the character base very well and everyone seems to have episodes dedicated to them but always revolving around one of Top Cat's schemes. A delightful series to relive for us baby boomers and should gain new fans of later generations.
General Note: The series may be better suited for children over 10 as the storylines seem to be written more for young adults. Thanks, Jim Mascia
