The purchase of this DVD was a complete waste of time and money. Director Tobe Hooper certainly lacked assistance with the casting directory in this extremely low budget flick. The plot surrounds an historic Hollywood hotel which supposedly houses a "supernatural evil". However, I saw nothing which remotely resembled or portrayed supernatural evil on any level in this flick. The dilapidated hotel has been subdued for decades and when renovations begin on the hotel, a series of murders take place. The acting is quite juvenile and the majority of the so-called murder scenes are silly. I spent more time laughing at how silly the flick all came together than even thinking of been horrified. I'll certainly stay clear of future purchases of DVD to which Tobe Hooper has directed. I've also penciled in some of the extremely amateur acting of stagers Philip Sterling, Dora Sterling, and Chas Rooker as a reminder of what NOT to watch. Save your money folks, you'll get more traction from taking the kids to a Matinee.
