| Synopsis In this suspense romance with recipes, the restaurant owners of San Francisco are being killed off.
Publisher's Note After talking her way into a job on a pompous, third-rate chef's radio call-in-show, Angie Amalfi has visions of a new career to go along with her hot, new romance with Paavo Smith, a gorgeous homocide detective. When a successful and much-envied restauranteur is poisoned however, Angie finds the case far more interesting than trying to make her pretentious boss sound good. Some cooks might shy away from such a sizzling case, but Angie can take the heat and stay in the kitchen. Murder is on the menu in San Francisco . . . and area restaurant owners are fading fast. As homicide detective Paavo Smith delves into the crimes, his gorgeous but infuriating girlfriend, Angie Amalfi, insists on playing amateur sleuth. Her input proves deliciously on the mark. Top Reviews Review created: 10/06/06 by: 6 of 7 people found this review helpful. I bought this book because of the cover and the title. It depicts gingerbread men with skulls for faces. The book was not what I expected, but was enjoyable. When the owner of a fantastically popular restaurant is murdered bu poison, Inspector Smith and the beautiful, wealthy Angie Amalfi go toe and check to check in this wonderful murder mystery. Blackmail, pornography and murder all rear their ugly heads in this mystery by Joanne Pence. One fantastic recipe is included in this book. Review ID: 10000000002036712 Was this review helpful?
