What is not to love about Ann Rule's books? This book did not disappoint me either. I just finished it yesterday. As always, I hate to see her books end. She sure knows her stuff and remains one of my favorite author's. I recommend it highly. Great book! Bev

Ann Rule delivers another in-depth study of a case that for true crime buffs may recognize the far-reaching implications of a killer who finally gets the justice he deserved many years ago. That people like this live among us is the most chilling of lessons which Ann Rule has mastered teaching most of her adult life.

This is Ann Rule's best work to date, by far. In her unique style, Ann takes the reader step by step through the intricate details of violent, cold murder. She lends warmth to the hearts of the victims families...hearts turned cold and distrusting by two cruel and selfless murders. If you are familiar with the work of Ann Rule, you know what I am talking about. If you are not familiar with her body of work, do yourself a favor and start buying her magic. I assure that you will not be dissapointed!

Ann Rule is one of my favorite true crime writers. She tells a story of two women who have loved Dr. Bart Corbin and both die with gunshot wonds to their heads.
The first is Dr. Corbin's girlfriend, Dolly Hearn and it is made to look like a suicide. The police have some suspensions but are unable to prove anything at the time of the death. Fourteen years later Dr. Corbin's wife Jenn is found dead by gunshot in their home by their 7 year old son. Read this facinating story and find out how it ends.

This is one you won't be able to put down. I had seen various shows on TV about this true crime and even though I knew the outcome of the trial, I still couldn't put it down! Ann Rule is one great writer and I will impatiently wait for her next good book.

Ann Rule has done it again. She's one of the true-crime writers around. It's a MUST read. I have said all I want to say in the first three sentence, but to review this book I have to use at least 100 characters. What's up with that?

  Ann Rule Books
Review created: 10/08/08

I read many true crime writers books, but Ann Rule is by far one of the very best writer's of true crimes. She is one person that will take you into the view and life of the victim, which for the most part is not the norm.
Over the years it's been the Murderer's in the true crime history that is widely reviewed and completely broken down piece by piece, so that we can, the best way that we can, try to understand or atleast attempt to what makes that type of personality tick. So, it always has been the killer that everyone remembers the name of and the where and the how's of...but, Ann Rule, take all of that and pulls it a step further, while she tries to also look into that aspect of the crime, she also brings us closer to the victim and the loved ones left behind in such a way that you feel so close to it as you are reading, that you definately want to follow up on these people and their lives down the road after their terrible ordeals.
She is one of the only Author's that I have ever seen keep a web page just for that type of follow up also, so that we might look into what is happening to the family members now. Also making it possibly for any of us to reach out to the victims families and let them know that they are not alone in there search for understanding as to why these horrible things even so much as exist in our world and must deal with day to day.
She also keeps us informed of the very people that put their lives on the line every single day to try to keep us all safe and the ones who also adjudicate all of the trials also.
In any case, I believe that Ann Rule may very well be the best True Crime writer we have at this date and time. And possibly the best one of the past twenty years also...and she is writting more for us still to read. I believe everyone that enjoys reading and also enjoys true crime books to make sure that they put Ann Rules' books at the top of their list to add to their personal library. This particular book was about Bart Corbin and the murder of his wife Jennifer and the death of an old girlfriend of his that died in the same manner called "Too Late To Say Goodbye", but she has a total of 30 books to my knowledge and only one isn't a true crime book, it is her tribute to Seatle and a Coffee Table book, but the other 29 are sensational. The last of her true crime books is called Omnibus, which is three of her books put into one single jacket, all of which, I have already read, so that particular one, I did not buy...but if I ever found out that it had more to it than just those three stories, I would, because she is just that good of a writer. I'd never want to miss any of Ann Rule's true crime files writings. One of my true favorites was "Heart Full Of Lies" which Ann showed that a woman can be every bit as murderous as any man can be and should be treated with the same amount of moderation and temperance as you would a man that killed. So, far these two books of hers are my favorites. I hope that Ann keeps writing true crime stories for us all as her writings would be very missed if she stopped. Thank you Ann Rule. AllaSprint.

Inexpensive Book for some Excellent factual reading.

This book was so interesting; I could hardly put it down! The seller and price of the book was outstanding! Never hesitate to order anything from this seller. Her rating is Excellent by all means!
I love reading true crime drama, not gorey, but interesting and factual. This book tells about two beautiful women who loved life, their family, and people in general. They had so much to live for, and were murdered just because of a man who couldn't accept rejection. He was a tall handsome, brilliant, successful dentist, lived in upscale suburb, expensive cars, houseboat, etc. What most people always dream of having. The first woman to die was a former girlfriend who was made to look like she committed suicide. Fourteen years later, the same thing happened to his wife. Neither of the families believed the claims of suicide. Fortunately, a staff of brilliant attorneys and investigators, using high tech methods and forensic science, proved the murders were not suicide and the killer was charged with murder.
