Album Notes
This is an enhanced audio CD which contains regular audio and multimedia computer files.
TOO GANGSTA FOR RADIO? That may very well be, especially since many of the cuts on this compilation are littered with so many expletives that their bleep-filled censored versions would sound like a stadium full of honking cars. But the commercial viability of hip-hop being what it is, the creators of this sonic buffet have seen fit to do a little censoring themselves, making an edited version available that "cleans things up" a little more deftly than some ham-handed radio program director.
As for the material itself, it's as hard-hitting, hard-grooving, and inescapably catchy as you might expect from the folks at Death Row. With the likes of Ruff Ryders, Kurupt, and Scarface on board, it makes an excellent state-of-the-union address for gangsta rap, and the posthumous presence of 2Pac adds a bittersweet sense of history.
