Movie Description A handsome car salesman finds himself forced to re-think everything he desired in life when a plain, somewhat overweight woman comes to work at his office and he begins the most satisfying relationship he has known - at the expense of his exquisitely beautiful but arrogant wife.

Notes Bertrand Blier was born in Paris, on March 14, 1939. He got his start working as an assistant to John Berry, Jean Delannoy and Christian-Jacques. Later he made several "cinema verité"-style films including "Hitler?...Connais Pas!," a feature about young adults, made in 1962. Bertrand's first fiction picture was "If I Were a Spy."
The director-screenwriter was recognized internationally in 1974 when he made "Going Places," which featured Gérard Depardieu and Patrick Dewaere.
Actor Gérard Depardieu has starred in many of Blier's films including "Calmos" (1975) "Get Out Your Handkerchiefs" (1977) "Buffet Froid," "Going Places" and "Ménage/Tenue de Soirée" in which he played a gay man. "Too Beautiful For You" is Depardieu's sixth Blier picture.
Shot in Panavision, color by Technicolor and Eastmancolor.
Shared the Special Grand Jury Prize at Cannes with "Cinema Paradiso."
