Tony Orlando & Dawn - The Ultimate Collection (DVD, 2005, 3-Disc Set)

I would love to see every TV show from the 60's and 70's come out like this! It takes you back to a time when things were just simpler! Very much enjoy the talent they had! I gave all tv up over 5 years ago except DVD's and Video so when I watch something I want it to be good! and this is very good!

This is a great 3 disc box set bringing back memories of the times I grew up in.I get to watch Tony & Dawn as well as many old stars of the past that he has as quests.Some parts are a little corny but overall it is great as far as I'm concerned.I highly recommend it if you like old TV series shows.

I thoroughly enjoyed the DVD of Tony Orlando and Dawn. Its like looking through an hour glass into the past. Its funny to see all the goofy skits and family songs. The colors and sets are bright and lively. If you haven't seen it, you have to see it. If you have seen it its been over 30 years. I love it.

I bought this Tony Orlando and Dawn Ultimate Collection DVD because I remember enjoying their T.V. show in the 70's. This collection has 3 DVDs with 4 shows on each one. The picture is sharp and the sound excellent. It begins with his first show and showcases his hit song, "Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Old Oak Tree". He has top notch entertainers as guest stars. These are high quality musical, variety shows. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys that type of entertainment.

A great variety show with a lot of great singing. Many past and present stars appear on this set. It really brought back memories of how good TV variety shows used to be.

If you were alive and kicking in 1974, you no doubt remember Tony Orlando and Dawn. They had a unique sound and even more important was Tony's engaging personality. This set contains 12 episodes of the summer replacement show. The music, humor and warmth of the show is captured in a high quality DVD collection. I liked this group(Tony Orlando and Dawn) when they were on television in the 70's and to be able to watch them again is just great. The dvd set is excellent.When I seen this item on ebay I just had to have it. Wacthing them again brought back many memories and they are nothing like the groups the kids now of days listen to.I really wish there was another set, I would buy that one also.

Tony Orlando has to be the least impressive singer in Show Biz. However, Dawn boasts two accomplished vocalists . But I don't watch this show for the music -- I watch it for the cornball antics of Orlando, who is ridiculous in his high heels and Buster Brown hair-do. His interaction with the audience at the end of every show is almost painful to watch. He is saccharine, hyperbolic and, I believe, light in the loafers. Not that there's anything wrong with that. The real bonus of this collection is the roster of guest stars -- a time capsule crammed with '70s celebs. My favorite guest appearance has to be Jackie Gleason, who deigns to do a Vaudeville skit with Orlando. Talk about playing out of your league! But again, Dawn carries the act musically, and if you like corn, Orlando's your man.

I bought it with the idea of watching how Tony Orlando moves and gestures on stage to be able to copy him for a tribute set.
It's a high quality recording with all the Tony Orlando shows that you'll ever need to watch.
