Addictive, frustrating, adolescent fun!

If you can get by the low-brow humor in the cinematic cutscenes (some of which is hillarious, most is PG-13), you will find a strangely addictive game. Graphics are good, if not great, but the carpal tunnel-inducing gameplay will keep you coming back for more.
Some of the required moves to progress through the game will have you ready to throw your PSP through the nearest window, and the goal hints are occasionally weak on explaining exactly what it is you must do. Of course, most of these maneuvers will be a snap to those under 20 - where elderly gamers like me (40+) will occasionally quit trying and go beat some team by 100 in Madden Football. I seem to keep coming back - maybe just a glutton for punishment.
One aspect that is particularly painful is the control needed when trying to move while off the skateboard. Narrow ledges become exceptionally painful to move along, as walking straight is nearly impossible unless you can somehow move your perspective around so that you are actually facing straight ahead. Nothing like taking several minutes to climb 10 stories and falling off before even getting a chance to take a shot at the required goal.
All that being said - the game is a blast to play. The different skating environments keeps it interesting and allows for good replay value. Anyone who enjoys Tony Hawk games or skateboarding in general will have a great time with this one.
