Tony Hawk's Project 8 (Xbox 360, 2006)

Let me start by saying that Project 8 had very low expectations from me just because the recent Tony Hawk games didn't impress me, anyway lets just start the review.

Gameplay 9/10- This is in my opinion, the best part of this game. The career mode is fun. As usual. But the best part of the game is the multiplayer. I have X-box Live so I love this feature, but even if you don't have Live it is still very fun and can provide weeks of fun. If you are a serious gamer then you can play this game for months on end.

Graphics 9/10- The graphics are great! Of course, I own it for 360 so I haven't seen the PS2 graphics. But I assume their decent, but the X-box 360 version of the game has beautiful visuals and the're very impressing. Overall the graphics are just like any other 360 game but slightly better.

Sound 7/10- I personally don't care about the sound in videogames because if I don't like the sound of a game. I just blast the radio. But the sound is just a traditional Tony Hawk soundtrack. They play songs that you would most likely know and they are good songs too. I really liked the sound and I think most people do.

Replay 10/10- Tony Hawk games can be replayed over and over with the characters. Also there is a good multiplayer mode that anyone will enjoy. Serious gamers and people who don't game a lot. But the replay value is one of the best parts of the game.

Multiplayer 8/10- My brother and I played non-stop all day when we first got it and we still play a lot to this day (3 months later). If you have X-box Live then this feature can be very fun. But, I thought that I could hold my own on Live. I was wrong. People on Live are crazy, their scores are very high. But playing againt them makes you much, much better.

Overall I would say this game is one of the better Tony Hawk game and can be enjoyed by everyone. Overall I give this game a 8/10.

Tony hawks project 8 is awesome. I own every single tony hawk game and this one is a lot different from the other ones. The new nail the trick can be difficult at first but is awesome ones you try it a few times. THAW on 360 was xbox graphics project 8 is what we got 360 for the graphics are great. Also one new thing added was they had the bails where you can get point bye hitting a button to go into rage and u smash it now if u mess up a trick and fall u can press A to get into a roll and get back up quickly or you can do (what i always do) is keep hitting the y button and it has rag doll for the characters so you can send him flying and when he hits the ground try to see how hight teh hospital bill you can make and how many bones you break of his. I had fun for an hour trying different ways to break the skaters bones. This game also has that no loading again so its always moving. This one is one of the best Tony Hawks so go out and buy it

The game was actually a Christmas present. This is probably the best Tony Hawk game out and this was a really great deal for a great price. I am extremely satisfied with the product and it came just as described.

This game is awesome! I love skateboarding and this is by far the best skateboarding game out there! This game is more real life than any of the other games out there. If you are a gamer this needs to be in your collection. I will be the first one to tell you that when it comes to gaming cost should not be a factor. If the game can make you sit down for hours on end and your having a blast then the cost shouldn t matter. I will give this game an Excellent! The only thing that I would like to say is that the graphics do need a little work next time but other than that. 9/10

I had been looking at buying a Tony Hawk game for about 2 months and settled on this. It isn't the newest or the most technologically advanced, but I think it may be the best since they became "open ended."

There are no load times between levels, but there are between some challenges. I didn't realize that I was progressing till about half way through the game. But, when I did realize what was going on it started to get hard.

The difficulty is my only problem with the game. About half way through the game even doing an easy challenge is fairly challenging. I would not recommend this game to anyone looking for kids younger than about 12, due to some language and the challenges eventually becoming really hard. Unless you have a kid that doesn't mind becoming discouraged after several hours of play.

It's a great game that I really enjoy putting in anytime I need a pick me up. If you used to play THPS games and/or love skating I would highly recommend getting this game.

This game is definently worth the money but American Wasteland is the better buy. I personally have both and I am pleased with both but I would recommend to get American Wasteland first. American Wasteland is a shorter game though so if you want a long game then get Project 8. Anyway this is a great game.

Just when you thought you beat the game....... it aint over yet. this was so fun. And my 8 year old's favorite game.

Great graphics. Bought it for my kids and they love it. Kinda hard for them and they are 8 and 11 but they still love it.

Make sure all of your shopping around trips includes a trip to half.com or ebay. If I find what I want, I know I'll save money in the end!

This game is hot for Christmas and was difficult to find in stores. Not at ebay and around a $15 savings for a brand new game still wrapped in the box!

Just look at the trailers. This might be on of the Top 5 best games so far. You can move each leg independently while in the hair. What games gives you this much control. I'm not even into the whole skateboard sceen but I think i am now. Go get its the BOMB.

Excellent game with nice graphics. If you want to cutomize your own skateboard and your style, this game is recommend. Excellent graphice and if you are a tony hawk's fan, you must get this awesome game!

This is a great game, with solid graphics, great gameplay, and tons of fun. The career mode is excellent, the look and tricks and feel are classic Tony Hawk, and is just another great addition to the iconic franchise. Highly recommend.

This Tony Hawk Game is better than the newer ones out, but skate is still better. i bought it because i needed to finish it.

Rented it. Liked It. Bought It.Though other night like to know that it is a very fun and challenging game, so get it. I'm certain you'll like it.

for me it was a new game , never played a skate-board game before.
the game itself was great , i have had and still have many happy playful hours out of it.
it is not an easy game , and that is what i enjoy about it , it brings you to the edge of your seat.

I like how it is similar to previous tony hawk games, yet it has three difficulties that can be hard so the game isnt super easy. Not much more to it though...

Why i dislike the about it is i never recieved it when i bought it.i bought it for my 13 yr old son because he likes those kind of video games
