Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (PlayStation, 2000)

This is the second game in the series of tony hawk. I think this one is better than the first. There are manuals and the graphics are much better. The customization of your skater is amazing on this. You can also create your own park. Better levels and gameplay. Recommend getting this 5/5.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (Playstation) is the second game in the Tony Hawk series. Even though Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (Playstation) had not so good graphics the game play was still good. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (Playstation) has tricks and skaters not in the first game in the Tony Hawk series. In my opinion it was one of the not so good games in the Tony Hawk series.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 kept me entertained form the second I grabed the controller. I enjoyed unlocking the different skaters including the cop. The secret videos that are unlocked when you finish the game with top scores are awesome! I loved the bailed or "hurt" video. Very entertaining. Excel;lent game and abfab soundtrack to skate to.

As for the good points of the game, there are many. I played this game off and on for a long time, then a friend and I decided to finish the whole thing no matter how long it took. It took two weeks, about seven hours a day. I know that is really pathetic, but it had to be done. I have not played the game since, but the memory lives on. The games after this one lost something in my opinion. They got too goofy and pretty stupid. This one will be a classic.
There are alot of glitches in the game, but they ended up being really fun. The trick combos you can do with them are crazy. Of course it holds no candle to Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1, but it is very fun. Well worth the money, as long as you don't pay over $20 bucks for it. That would just be a rip off. Even if it is unopened.

I liked the item. It shipped on time and was what I expected. I didn't have to do any follow-up work with it.

decided to buy while looking at the top reviewed games of all time online, and i completely agree with the high ratings. amazingly designed game, even by today's standards (game is several years old)

I purchased this game as my previous one broke. I like it as it was one of the first games I ever bought when i bought my ps1.

Son enjoys it, but says there are a few quirks to the game that he's not too fond of. Could be just due to the technology itself being a little older, but he says it's pretty good in all.

I bought this game as a gift. It was great, very enjoyable to play. My friend was the recipient of this gift and he was very happy with the game. I also bought the Tony Hawks 3 game at the same time for him. He has enjoyed playing both and getting better at each of them.

TONY HAWK'S PRO SKATER 2 is a great game for kids (7 and up?) and teens. It is a fun game that all types of people enjoy! Learn how to skateboard and pull off tons of special tricks and stunts! Compete or free skate in this loud and grinding game! The only draw back to this game is that it will make you dizzy if you play it too long or have a weak stomach. I would recommend this game for anyone with an interest in skateboarding or anyone looking for something new or an old favorite!

this is a great game the grandkids love to play for hours... its hard to get games at the stores they are so expensive but here you can get them in real good condition and save lots of money..

I like the quality of the game. I don't like that it doesn't have a cover manuel, but that was mentioned in the description, so I knew what I was getting. I bought this to add to my Tony Hawk collection

This is THE BEST SKATEBOARDING GAME EVER!!!!!! It's still the only skating game that allows you to do every single trick, including 270 to bluntslides!!!!!! I almost failed a semester of college due to Pro Skater 2. I picked up another copy because my old one is scratched. I might even buy a couple more copies just so I can be sure that I'll be able to play this game for the rest of my life!!!!

Wow! If you've played the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, no doubt you were amazed. Well this one improves on the original ten-fold.

First of all, there are three new characters, including two of the godfathers of skate; Rodney Mullen and Steve Caballero (who's base stats are amazing to start with!). Also present is Eric Koston, who was voted best all-around skater around the time of this game's release.

Secondly, you now have the ability to create your own skateparks! There are a good number of pieces to choose from and the way things can be linked together is very nice. There are also a ton of pre-made parks in the editor that will give you ideas. Many of these are excellent in their own right and they can also be manipulated.

Thirdly, there are a TON of new tricks. All of the ones from the previous game are here, but each player can have two sets of tricks, which can be accessed by double-tapping the grab and flip buttons. This adds an incredible amount of versatility to runs and can help you to have more original lines, which is really important in contest events. Also, the inclusion of manuals is very cool. This means that instead of just normally approaching an object to trick off of, you can manual to it and this gives you constant points. Imagine some of the combos that could be achieved! It takes some getting used to, especially since it means you move more slowly and you have to manually keep your boarder's balance (no pun intended).

Fourthly, the new parks are very cool. Marseilles is the one that was included in the demo for the game, so many of you know how cool that park is already. Venice beach is nice, too. It has a lot of vert areas and even some vagrants to ollie over, I kid you not! People might miss some of the original parks, but with the park editor, you might be able to make a reasonable facsimile.

Fifthly, there is a create-a-skater mode. While it doesn't add too much to the game, it is still nice to see a skater with your name.

On top of all these factors, they've changed the level objectives quite a bit. Now instead of collecting tapes to progress, you must complete certain objectives for money. The money you earn can be used towards buying new boards, buying new tricks (including grabs, flips and specials) and boosting your created-player's stats. Also, as usual, the music in the game is fresh and should appeal to fans of several different styles. The multiplayer modes are standard, but just as awesome as before.

Well, I could say more, but what is there to say that hasn't already been said? Activision and Neversoft have really outdone themselves and continue to show a great deal of respect for the consumers. This is an incredible game in every aspect and should be in the home of every video game fan on the planet! HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION POSSIBLE!

it got to me in a timely fasion and im enjoying it very much. the only problem i have is that i have a ps2 and this is a ps1 game. the ps2 memory card doesnt support this. so i got back on ebay and ordered a memory card for the ps1 that also supports ps2, and that doe nbot work either. i dont know what else to do. but otherwise im very happy with my purchase.
