Create your own thriving, intergalactic space station with TONKA SPACE STATION from Hasbro Interactive. In this PlayStation game primarily aimed at the younger set, you play as Tonka Joe and it's your goal to build, control, maintain, and protect your own incredible space station. Much in the tradition of the highly popular SIM CITY series, you are entrusted with the consuming task of creating a successful outer space living environment from scratch. But it's not just construction you need to be concerned with, as a number of just-for-fun missions are also available. They include a racing simulation, a crawling spider-like loader mission, a TEMPEST-style shooting gallery, an explorer or rover-like expedition, and more. You'll also find yourself eager to earn every last medal available as reward. The graphics are bright and colorful, and glowing rocks, crystals, and spaceships add a shiny, futuristic zing. The background music is a jazzy, bouncy drum and bass affair that is sure to keep you bopping your head to the beat. Sound effects are fresh and effective, and an excited announcer also chimes in with his own happy commentary.
