So while the TomTom GO 510 is the new GO entry level product, the new TomTom GO 710 is now a mid point in their GO line (available in Europe only), and finally the TomTom GO 910 at the top of the line with the first ever portable navigation device featuring multi-continental map coverage including the whole of Europe, the USA and Canada. It also has a range of smart extras such as a fully integrated MP3 player for playing audiobooks, music and podcasts as well as text-to-speech functionality. - Great!

It had a very good price/fuctions ratio.
Functions include hand-free, bluetooth, radio, etc.
However, this GPS unit has some software issues.
Some of them relate to the different models of Tomtom Go 510/710/910.
Therefore, some functions are availible ONLY on 910 and screw the functionality of 710.
For example GO 710 can not say street names, while many BASIC units can do it.

But do not get me wrong: The funstionality is outstading.
My advice: you should choose GO 910 and update the software.

I seen the tom tom here on E-bay.It was one of the cheaper ones so i got it for work.When i got it i could not get it to read the sd card for the map.So then they sent a new sd card and still nothing.And then i seen they charged for all upgrades.So then i seen the Garmin and got it.It has free upgrades.It was so easy to work.Id get nothing else now.

The Tomtom 710 is a great gps. I have to say it is really easy to use put a zip code and address all from the touch screen and plots a course either shortest or fastest. I would say the tomtom is similar to mapquest or google maps. The maps are kept up to date by driver like yourself, if you find a road has changed you can submit it in a map share program. The battery life of the tomtom is great also I have use it a 8 hour shift and still had battery life for another 2 hours. The voice are great you can use a man or woman or download a personlized voice via the Internet. The Tomtom710 also show points of interest and informs you if you are going over the speed limit.

great for the traveling worker use it daily and love the fact it keeps my speed in check the only real problem i have is the fact that it dont understand truck routes or low overpasses so i have to constantly recheck the routeing so i dont get into a real sticky situation

They sent me a unit that did not work.

When I asked for a replacement or to repair the one
they sent; they stopped communicating with me.

I'm now the proud owner of a $85.00 GPS that doesn't work.

I went and bought one at my local Wal-Mart.

Had many features, ad said it was like new and price. But found innacurate description,product very used, and very hard to use. seller is deceiving people. I would not buy this item again or from this seller.
