Tommy - Your Senses Will Never Be The Same!

The first time I saw this movie was in the Spring of 1975 - I saw it at least another 19 times in the month that followed. This movie will appeal to you if you are a fan of Ken Russel, The Who, pop culture or the 70s. Ann-Margret was nominated for an Oscar for her performance. How many movies have you seen where Jack Nicholson sings?!? Nicholson's performance was sung and filmed in 18 hours, while Ann-Margret's work in soapsuds, beans and chocolate took 3 days and numerous stitches, after she was accidentally cut with broken glass. Eric Clapton, Tina Turner and Elton John turn in memorial performances. Watch for the huge organ Keith (Uncle/Brother Ernie) Moon plays and rides in the song "Welcome". The organ was given away in a contest by a Scotland radio station. A 9 or 10 year-old boy won the organ and said he wanted to smash it - with Keith Moon. Moon complied! This is another Who movie you HAVE to play LOUD. Let the neighbors enjoy it as much as you do!
