Broken. Great in most areas and Broken in others.

Anniversary is available in two ways.
Through "Legends" 360 via 2400 MS Points for all four episodes, or 1200 points for 2 episode packs (1 & 2, 3 & 4) worth about 250 achievement points.
Anniversary is available in its standalone 360 gamedisc, 1000 gamerscore achievement points.
I played Legend and liked it and started on Anniversary.
A lot of different things were added and special abilities and puzzle variations. The checkpoint system is okay but sometimes on a few of the complex obstacles, there is no checkpoint, restart all over again.
A warning, make "manual save points" because these automatic checkpoints can muck up your game progress. Some items can only be attempted at once, one shot and if by some reason, say you started to jump but lost balance, fell then recovered, you may end up walking back into a checkpoint. Or the item you were shooting for is a one-shot deal, for example: the stone pillar has sunk and will never rise again.
So save often and if you lose that one shot, you still got your manual save point.
Also the camera doesn't really help, some wall-runs with the rope require you follow Lara with the camera stick (Right) to make a backwards jump, a jump you cannot see, you have to "feel" for it ..usually after many retries. Some jumps and grappling require you to do multiple actions at the same time.
Inside Atlantis Pyramid for example, after fighting the 2 double-shot killer bats ...run and shoot the button, quickly holster weapons, run to the very edge before the platform retracts, hold "A" button for a boost jump, hold left stick for direction of jump, hold right stick for camera to face up then a "Blue X" might appear for a fraction of a second, stop pressing the "A" and quickly press the "X" blue button to grapple... and this is a start of a transverse sequence on that level.
Some areas the controls are a bit wonky.
Example, Egypt level with the statues of Doghead and Owlface, there is ladder facing forward and a crevice on the left back corner, use the Left stick to its left will have lara simply jump off and so this is where it gets tricky, it works if Lara was hanging, the left stick downward will have Lara jump back to the crevice but on a ladder, she decends. So left stick has to be between left and down, for some its easy but I think to many it will be easier said than done.
I've played "Legends" and really enjoyed it.
I'm almost done with "Anniversary" and have mixed feelings about it.
Some of the controls, camera and some of the puzzles dont make sense, or it seems broken in some areas, I asked "did they play test this? If so with what?"
Some levels might get you stuck and I mean stuck where there is no game progress period.
Some areas require multiple actions done within a second with your 360 controller. I think this can be a great game if you can "quick finger" through all the glitches but it may be very frustrating if your a regular joe-sloe.
My opinion of this game: Masochistic gamers need only to apply
