Tomb Raider Anniversary (Wii, 2007)

Lara croft tomb raider is a platformer in the similar vien to prince of persia sands of times. Of course Lara came first, but this particular game plays similar to sands of time and that may or may not be a good thing. The Wii controls works for the most part. Climbing and jumping feels right. The grapple hook which is tied to the nunchuck takes time to get use to. The developers added specific wii areas that add to the game such as digging up artifacts. However, the big problem with the game is the gun mechanic, it just doesn't feel right. Shooting feels clunky and it's hard to execute. Other than this part of the game, tomb raider is a nice fun romp and if you have time check it out, it might surprise you.

The controls really make this Tomb Raider title one to own! You will be using your Wii nun-chuck to throw Lara's grappling hook as you dive off of dangerous cliffs and ledges. Draw your guns and aim your Wii remote to take down your most feirce enemies. Tomb Raider Anniversary is a great re-image of the first Tomb Raider game that came out in 1997. For the old school gamers it will take you back into a familiar world with lots new visuals and new features such as the archaeologists tool kit. With these tools you will unlock some additional puzzles that gives this title a whole new feel.

If you played tomb raider before you will love this game. The Wiimote makes the game more interactive. The only bad side is, controls can take a while to get used to, but once you do you will have fun

Lara looks a little different on the screen but still hot so it really doesn't matter.

The camera angles are in dire need of help in this version of Tomb Raider. I loved the GC version and I thought that meant that I'd love this one...boy was I wrong. If you're even considering beating this game...you MUST get the strategy guide. I never had to use one but for this game it was a tiny bit of help that has taken me a long way.

Back to the camera's. When a bear wolf or bat is charging at you, you have to flip and dodge by shaking the nunchuck but you also have to aim while the camera flips all over the place. I don't know if they meant to make the camera angles flip all over , cause the camera's never did that before, but it adds difficulty along with confusion and sometimes...death.
When you're climbing it's difficult to jump from ledge to ledge because the camera is way too dynamic. They need to either check of Prince of Persia or borrow some old ideas from Tomb Raider Legends...which I actually like more...I'm thinkin bout trading or selling this one to someone who enjoys reading strategy guides.

I loved the classic Tomb Raider games, and this reminds me of the original. I would recommend this game both to people that are fans of the series, and people who have never played a Tomb Raider game. This game is definitely a must-have for every Wii owner.

I love Tomb Raider. It is a fun game, but I guess I am to jerky with the controler. I find it very hard to aim. That is the only prob. I have with the game and I guess it is not even with the game!

It is great, especially with the wii controls. You can really appreciate the fighting more, and the game is just fun.

The game is sub par in the graphics department. And it could benefit from a more "led" storyline. I found myself wandering about with no obvious clues (or less obvious) on how to move to the next objective.

I like the Tomb raider series, so i'll play this one through.. it just seems like it could've been polished up a bit more. its really just a port over from the ps1 / gamecube.

In the past, I have purchased other Tomb Raider games and my children loved them. The graphics are very good and the character and images look real. We will enjoy hours of entertainment with this game. Also, we priced it in the game stores and it was out double what we paid for the game and shipping.

If you like Tomb Raider you'll love this. I like how you can use the remote to point to where you want to shoot. The use of the nunchuk makes the game feel more real unlike the classic controller.

I love the features and the ancient area i played but i dislike the controls in the game. but i like the game and its fun, and adventure games is my favorite game like Lara Croft

its a great game! Just a little hard to figure out the controls on the wii with the game but everything other than that its a great game for kids any age to play.

Some of the controls are a little awkward. I made the mistake of playing TR Underworld first. They updated the controls for the Wii for that game. So if you've played Underworld, it's easy to get confused with some of the controls. Most notably moving the camera. In Underworld, this is done with the + control on the wii remote. In Anniversary, you hold the C button and point the wii remote at the screen in the direction you want to look. Other than this minor item, the game is great. The graphics are great. The levels rich in detail. A good buy of anyone who likes the series.

What I Liked About This Game was It is very fun and it's hard to loose interest on it. What I don't like about it is some part's are way too hard. I decided to buy this game because it looked very fun.

I love the way the makers incorporated the nunchuck with the game and it gives a cool touch to it. I'm a big virtual reality guy and for all you XBOX 360 people, I'd rather have something more fun and not so bad on graphs then just graphics (personal opinion NO OFFENSE) but I'm just a sucker for the Wii. Tomb Raider has been an all time classic and its great to see the Wii offering that classic to its consumers.

This game sucks. It is so hard it's not enjoyable. Only buy this is you're just in the mood to waste your hard earned money.

If you enjoyed playing the original Tomb Raider games on Playstation, you will flip out over this game. The graphics are much better, of course, and the controls are vastly improved. The Wii version adds even more to the experience with new motion controls. This is a must have for Wii owners who love the Tomb Raider series.

The only thing I don't like is the controls. The controls are way better in Underworld, but the game is so intense and so much fun I got used to it! Absolutely amazing!
