TomTom XL 340.S Car GPS Receiver

I bought this item, a TomTom 340s, because a friend has a TomTom 730 and this is the best model I could afford. The unit arrived on time and I must say it has great eye appeal. Connected it to my computer and in twenty minutes it caused the computer to crash!Called support and they couldn't fix the problem. They tried three times and finally said send it back and we will send you a NEW ONE. Five days later I received a corrugated box with a unit wrapped in bubble wrap.No power cord,no usb cord,no instruction booklet,nothing but the 340s. I called and they gave me a website to down load the booklet.
I just finished trying to download the updates and the website says the UNIT does not have sufficient memory to handle the update. I don't think I would advise anyone to purchase this model. Had I looked at the reviews before buying,I would have seen that many people have had the SAME problem and guess what, TOMTOM doesn't care. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ONE OF THE WORST I'VE EVER DEALT WITH!
