TomTom GO 910 Car GPS Receiver

looked very nice.Big screen alot bigger then the others. I bought the Tomtom 910 three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive Gps. It has a 20g mp3 player, and speakerphone. The tomtom size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the gps makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the tomtom if you're on a budget.

I wish there was something between good and excellent.

The only minor complaint i would have is the window mount, it worked fine for a while but then started falling off semi regularly even though i was properly locking it down the 2 full snaps perhaps it was due to cold PA temeratures.

I got a ram mounting kit and proclip that does no damage and is easy to uninstall with no damage to the vehicle for each unit and, I like the positioning better with the new mount.

conveniance - Its much closer and in line with my guages just above my car stereo

view - I get more of the road virtually no windshield obstruction.

hard to see it from outside the vehicle. it isnt on display for theives.

To find the mounting solution i used go to tomtomforums.com go to the section tomtom show off and search that section for the keywords pedro 910 and he lays out how to do it very simply with pics and links to the needed parts.

Does not comnnect well to base home unit. "Can not connct to computer to add option or get updates. The error I get is one of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it." next message I get is "Try reconecting the device. If windows still does not recongize it. Replace device." and That's what I'm trying to do now. Get in contact with e-bay seller.

Wanted to try a GPS, love the unit but the seller included a different TomTom car charger than it originally came with and it doesn't always work right. Guess sellers try to mix and match, just be aware.

I thought this TomTom Go 910 would speak the street names, but it only announces the freeway or highway. At the time of buying it, I thought it was a reasonable price.

Has cell phone connect powers which was a pleasant surprise. Does have a defective battery but plan on changing to a new battery.

When my old tom tom 510 wasn't being co-operative, and letting me enter letters for the street name i needed to find for my job, It "fell out the window"....really..It fell out...Ok, Ok, I threw it out! You see..when they get old the letters in the keyboard must get out of line, cause when I tried to press one letter it alway's hit the ones above it....that was fine cause I adapted..But the lower row was too far off the unit after a couple months of that finagling to get it to just work...Time for a new one! I knew i had to break down and get a new one eventually...but sunday afternoon on my (second) job, wasn't the time or place! When I got home i was happy to see that there was still some- not many old 510's around..probably found by local neighborhood kids, b ut still...I'm cheap and that would do considering I still have the hardware that goes with them...what I found on e-bay was that the higher up models had come down in price enough for me to purchase a re-furbished Tom Tom 910 (minus all the hardware)....for the price of a used (maybe hot) 510...Glad the sellers had the courage to hold onto these old gems...I was alway's happy with my old model..And being I'm not a creature of change- it wasn't a quick easy decision to make to get another one in the same series (900) when there is newer models out now.....But the 910..it's awesome..more features...bigger screen, and yes- The hardware from the old 510 ie: window docking holder thingie...worked with this new one!! so does the home docking station & charger...and the other goodies. Soooo thanks to the sellers that had the sense and gall to hang onto the old tom toms...you saved my day!

I needed maps for the US and Europe. This dealer gave me both. Great view, Great directions, all around wonderful. I love my TomTom

I bought the Go910 refurbished. It worked well at home and I could navigate through my kitchen. Tham it just stopped working. I could neve test it on the street. I got an replacement. This time I navigatet through the bedroom all fine. In the car,...once a again,...it just didnt go on. So, I dont know how it really works as I never had a working unit.

product as described, already had one that was broke, didnt come with the maps I thought it was suppose to have but I didn't ask either. no problem loaded with the maps I had from the last one.

I wish I had never bid on this item, It arrived with a bad battery, and was a 3.5 inch screen instead of the 4 inch as advertised! I took it to a repair shop and had a battery installed, but the unit looses the satellites and has to be shut down and then turned back on before it works again. It is a nuisance having to reprogram the unit!! This purchase almost caused me to stop buying on e-bay! Now i only look at dealer items!

I originally bought a tomtom go910 when they first came out for my 18 wheeler, I couldn't have survived without it. If you miss a turn it almost immediatly re routes you, you will get to the address you type in no matter what. My wife can't find anyplace so she was constantly taking my TomTom on golf days when I needed it so my solution was to get another one.

I found a used one on EBay for an incredible price, it has a lot more stuff on it than my original one does.

I can't say anything bad about it, I love it and no I have it mounted on my Harley Davidson, it's awesome.

Preloaded maps of USA, Canada and Europe make this TomTom a great navigators helper. We are planning on touring Europe and want to visit some out of the way places. I've used a small hand held GPS unit on our last trip, it was OK but, with the TomTom bigger screen it will be great.

Good GPS. In case I have to update maps but all the other is very good. I like it has navigation using zip (postal) code and street name. Can choose alternative road and so on. Great.

The navigation and driving directions are brilliant. So are all the features associated with route planning, like favorite places etc. The one major disappointment was the hands free Bluetooth connection of my cell phone. My cell phone connects to every headset and car hands free system I have ever tried but TomTom and Sprint must not be friends and they have created incompatibility so NO TomTom works with any Sprint phone. See TomTom's list of supported phones BEFORE YOU BUY.

"eshopic" has not sent me the TomTom 910 I payed for and will not call or write me back about it. I made the payment the same day I ordered with American Express card thru PayPal.

The Tom Tom 910 is a great GPS tool and I have always enjoyed the easy way of working with the product. I would recommend Tom Tom to anyone. Very low in price and reliable.
