This is a great game. It has amazing graphics and the gameplay is also good. If you like stealth games then this is the game you want. It has a lot of action and a interesting storyline as well. Has many new weapons and Sam Fisher could do a lot of new cools moves. If you liked the previous splinter cell games you will not be dissapointed by this one if you don't have it BUY IT!

Same single player, but great multiplayer!

The Single player is basically what you'd expect by now of the Splinter Cell Series. Get briefed on the bad guys by your pal Lambert and move in. If you've read my past reviews, you'll probably guess where I'm going with this. The levels were fun enough, but some how just not any more so than the last two games. Despite the repetition, you'll want to keep going.

Even on the aging Xbox, the graphics still impress. Shadows look awesome, water looks exactly like water and the character movement capture is near perfect. I still don't know why they took out the S.W.A.T. turn maneuver from Pandora Tomorrow. That was the best. It's a welcomed feature used in Gears of War on the 360, can't imagine playing without it. Again the storyline wasn't very compelling, but it was still enough to keep me going.

The real kicker for this game is the online Multiplayer mode. It's unrivaled in multiplayer terms and just pure fun to play. Sure you have to deal with the occasional foul mouthed jerk(s), but when you can play with people like yourself, it's a sublime experience. I've made so many great friends over Xbox Live. I think its because of the level of intimacy between two players who have to work together in order to win. Unlike other games where you're thrown into a battlefield with 12-24 other players just doing their own thing. This isn't your typical Run 'n Gun. There's just more strategy that way. Online consists of Spies versus the Mercs. Whether you're a spy or merc, playing as a team is important. Constant communication is necessary.

I noticed the wins are more satisfying when it's done on this level of gameplay. Unlike games such as Halo, where winning is based on the few hard core guys that carry the team to victory. You play a huge part or none at all.

Anyone can run around shooting everything that moves. It takes a real man to sneak around and kill people with style. Splinter Cell is the greatest stealth franchise available today. They just keep getting better every time a new one is released.

Splinter Cell, Chaos Theory as the title says, is Stealth Action Re, Re, and, Re, defined. this is much better then the first game, and second Game. mostly because of the multiplayer option, and the Graphics are even better then before, as well as the sound, movies, and general game play. everyone that owns a game console must know about this game, so theres not much more to say then get it today! I would recomend this for any Console player, and hopefully you will become a fan like me.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

The third installment of the famous Splinter Cell games, Chaos Theory is truly the best. The story line inthe single player mode is just like being in a real live action movie. Your plunged into stopping the North Koreans, who provoke the Japanese into starting a war.

New this time around is a co-op mode in which you and a friend play through a 4 level exiting side story to the single player. This mode features an abundance of co-op moves that will make your eyes pop out there sockets.(Including a move where you can launch your team mate into a guards behind and knock him out.)

Also, back from the previous installment (Pandora Tomorrow)is the adrenaline pumped Online multiplayer mode. In this mode you can log on via Xbox Live and play a 2 Spys .vs. 2 Mercenaries mode. You can grab the mercenaries from behind and either knock them out or take them of your hands permanatley. Also, in your arsenal of moves, the ability to jump on top of the mercs head and instantly takeing him out, or maybe you want to pull him over a railing and have him land in some hurtful ways. It's really up to you.

Now I know your asked to say what you think bad about this game when you get to writing the review screen, so I spent countless nights when I couldn't sleep and finally found something wrong with this game. You can't use the game box as a door stopper. It's just not heavy enough. I give this game 5 stars. *****

  OMG Unbelievably Good Game

Probably the best xbox game of all time. Halo doesn't even come close, as good as it is. The graphics are so amazing that when i saw them i thought i was watching an HD game on a second-gen console like the Xbox 360. I could spend a long time describing how amazing the graphics are, but I'll leave it at this; They Kick A*s!!! Graphics aside, this is also one of the most complicated and challenging games ever made. Most levels require complete stealth and every small mistake you make will almost definatley mess you up for the rest of the level. There are loads of ways of killing people, loads of ways of sneaking and fighting, infiltrating and spying, etc, etc, etc, that you will never find yourself getting bored. If you don't have this game, GET IT.

With each title Ubisoft releases, they get better and better. This is one of my favorite games. The controls and graphics are much improved compared to older Splinter Cells. Chaos Theory has a permanent place in my game library. Excellent entertainment.

Pros
o Great multi and single player game modes
o Outstanding Graphics
o Better than previous Splinter Cell games in almost all facets
o Not to easy and not to difficult, select your skill level and the game will
be just right for your abilities.

Cons
o None at this time

Comments - I have played all the games from the Splinter Cell series and this is by far the best. My son and I have spent hours playing Chaos Theory together and have never gotten board with it yet. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys first person shooter/stealth games and the likes.

  Another SPLINTER CELL masterpiece
Review created: 01/03/07

1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I like a lot SPLINTER CELL games. I played all previous episodes of SPLINTER CELL on PC, which always had excellent graphics. I was curious how XBOX version would compare to PC. I was positively surprised because SP on XBOX looks as good as PC versions. Definitely this game pushes XBOX graphics capabilities to its fullest. The game play is excellent as always. There are plenty of missions in the game which take place in different areas of the world. All missions are excellent and are enjoyable to play. Music, sounds and voice overs are very similar to previous episodes. The game plays flawlessly on XBOX 360. I highly recommend this game. Cannot wait to play another installment of SP.

Chaos theory is my favorite game for Xbox, no contest (yes, I have Halo 1 and 2). Those are fun, but nothing like Splinter Cell. The stealth aspect of the game is amazing.

  Chaos Theory: Love It!

I love this game! It has great graphics and sound effects! It is fairly easy to beat, but it is a little bit of a challenge. It beats all Splinter Cell games that came before it! I have Splinter Cell and Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, but this is better than them combined!

  Thrilling spy-action
Review created: 10/17/09
by:

This game is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a spy-action type game. You are a secret agent who can use both subtlety and brute force to complete dangerous missions. I chose to buy it for its awesome game-play experience, excellent X-box graphics, and fun co-op options. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory has been called the greatest game in the series and would be enjoyable to anyone who likes the "one man army" concept in a video game.

Excellent seller. He accidentally shipped me the wrong product, but was extremely courteous and polite about the resolution of the issue. I could tell that the mistake was a genuine mistake, and I believe that he did everything that he could to resolve it, even at his own cot.

I highly recommend buying from this seller.

Good, but nowhere near as good as the first Splinter Cell. The classic is so much less complicated and I prefer the setting better. The graphics in this one are amazing and the new features are super cool.

  Great game all around
Review created: 08/15/09
by:
cpajusi ( 8 )

This game is a great addition to the splinter cell saga. With new features such as area kills and advanced AI, Chaos Theory delivers a fantastic all around game play. The largest improvement from Pandora Tomorrow is the new co-op mode. This new feature has a different story line yet it links up with the main story on certain occasions. The new maps in Chaos Theory are far more extensive and complex than its prequel. Because the maps is so large, it offers tons of replay value as one could do each mission several times and never take the exact same path. The advanced AI has fixed the problem from Pandora Tomorrow by causing npcs to be suspicious instead of automatically raising the alarm. Two new weapons have been added to the game, a sniper and a shotgun. The sniper is relatively practical while the shotgun is used only in the rarest scenarios. One addition has been made to the HUD which is the sound meter. This will tell you how much noise you are making and also how much noise is being made around you. This gives players fairer game play. Overall, Chaos Theory has satisfied my expectations and is a great game for those who have played or are interested in the Splinter Cell series. IGN gives this game a 9.6 rating.

One of the best games for hours of enjoyment
Review created: 07/09/09
by:

The 3rd game in the series of Splinter Cell.

I have enjoyed this game very much. I have played through the first splinter cell as well as Pandora Tomorrow titles. This is the best amongst the first 3 releases of the Splinter Cell series.

The humor element is very nice. I play through often just to hear some of the funny lines. I don't want to spoil your experience by giving you examples.

As far as online gaming is concerned. I have tried some online play and it's very good and enjoyable. But, for some reason the game looses connection on xbox live. I don't know if it's a problem with the game or with microsoft live network. It's a pretty old title since the 5th in the series Conviction is releasing Fall 2009.

Good Luck and have fun with this game!

This game is perfect for gamers. The condition that that disc was in when i first received it was better than the quality it said. I've played the first game a while ago for regular xbox and loved the features immediately. This game is perfect to train stealth skills and its excellent for stealth game lovers.
