I have to say I really enjoyed this game. Not too technical or complicated and really fun to play. This was the first squad based shooter I played where you lead your squad of three other members on 14 counter terrorism missions all over the world. I thought the graphics were good as were the sounds of the game. A game like this needs to be played in surround sound if you have it. The enemies are not hard to hit, but with your surroundings and number of bad guys to come at you and your team, I think this makes up for it.
You are in control of Team Rainbow and your job is to take out a terrorist organization threatening the peace between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, who controls oil from that region.
This game also allows for voice commands through the xbox headset which I did not get the chance to play but sounds cool. The game has a rating of Mature (17+) on account of blood and violence.
If you want to be a part of securing the world and help defeat terrorist all over the world this game is for you. One of the first in the Tom Clancy series and still a favorite to play.
You have your mission, go get'em.

This is game that my husband wanted. Once we received the game he started it and did not stop until he completed the game. He stated that this game is well worth it.

Fun, action packed game. If you like team based war games this one's for you. Highly recommend for all.

This game is so AWESOME, it has a GREAT story line and okay graphics!!! HIGHLY recomended for someone looking for a FUN and EXCITING action game!!!

One of the best first person shooters ever created, and certainly the best offered on the xbox classic! A must have for any Xbox affictionado! I highly reccomend this game, and only wish that there were more levels to play. The fun ends too soon, and the sequel is even shorter...But, still one of my all time favorite games!

the more current Rainbow Six titles, you'll find that the missions are
very interesting.

This game is by far the best tactical gameplay that was ever made for xbox at the time. Many of the controller buttons were first of thier kind, with leaning and crouching. Corners and angles this was the best for tactical response. Good storyline for the game if your into that, but the real thrill was online, which if you ever play look for a guy named maniac4real and I'll teach you a thing or two.

I liked that there were many elements of stealth used in the game. You dont just go out in the open and start shooting, but have to take cover and hide. It was a very challenging game, but a good game. I would recommend it.

Good game. Lots of action. Would highly recommend it. Another great game from Tom Clancy's line of games.

This in my opinion is the #1 game for the original xbox and i sadly admit that i traded it away with much regret so i had to come back and buy it here cuz i could not find any store within a 10 mile radius of where i lived that had it in good or brand new condition.

I loved this game the first time I played it some years ago.
Yes the graphics are outdated compared to newer games today but class and distinction can never be outdated.

The game has you on edge from the get go.
Battling terrorists,securing hostages, choosing weapons before and during a game and so much more.

Moving your team through several dangerous events at every turn. You can command your team in many different strategic ways.
It's like a different episode each time you play.

I can't tell you how many times I and sometimes my whole team have gotten wiped out by terrorists but I just reload and start again.

Hours and hours of nail biting fun and excitement.

Truly a collectors item.

Received the game in good condition and in a timely manner....... Packaged well and received quickly....

This game is absolutely perfect. While the character models and environment seem outdated, we must remember that this game launched in late 2003. If you have a headset, you can actually give commands to your team such as "Open, Flash and Clear".. if you said it clearly, your team (campaign mode) will execute the order (remember to do the training before you jump into campaign). Multiplayer is a blast and yes, even though this game is infact over 5 years old, alot of people do play Rainbow Six 3 at night. This game is alot of fun and during the weekday and weekend I rotate between RS3 and Halo 3. Games just dont get better than this. This game also works for the xbox 360. Give this game a shot. I'm extremely glad I did back in 2003 and now that my friend is getting xbox live, I went ahead and got him a copy. I paid 4 dollars and 50 cents for his copy and I still think that my 50 dollar investment is worth every penny. You will enjoy this classic for awhile. Give this game a shot. If your decent at First Person Shooters.. you'll like this one. Peace

City Street Large FTW!!

I like any game by Tom Clancy and this one is one of his best. It is very challenging and requires several attempts at each stage, you won't beat this one in a day like some of the other games out there. The weapons choices and detail are among the best (white phosphorous grenades rule!).

This game was way too much fun! I've always been a fan of Tom Clancy's game series, though I have to admit - I haven't read any of the books that inspire the games. I loved the original Rainbow Six, Rogue Spear, and now this piece of perfection. The enemy AI is intense, the weapons and combat are realistic, and the online play is smooth and seamless. This game is a must-have for any PC or Xbox owner. You get a lengthy campaign full of characters to form a team from, an arsenal of real weapons, and a cool set of gear to increase your chances of survival on the battlefield. Make sure to check out the online play as well - it offers a whole new world of tactile combat!

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 for the Xbox system is one of the best games in the Rainbow Six series. The gameplay and the story line is very thrilling. You must lead your team through missions where you never know where the terrorists could be hiding. They could be on the rooftops, behind a turned over car, or taking cover behind some rubble. The choice of weapons is cool and the night and thermal vision is very helpful. Whether you play alone or online, it is an exciting and edge of your seat thrill ride all the way through. The controls are very easy to get use to. The scenery and sounds and voices make it seem like you are right there with the team. Very cool game for any gamer who likes team shooters or anti-terrorism games. Recommended for anyone who likes to feel like he or she is in a real life war against terrorists. Once you start playing, it will be hard to put the controller down. I remember the first time I played it. I thought "wow, what an awesome game! This is what a terrorist-hunting, world-saving, team shooter game should be like." When you and your team open doors co-operatively and rescue hostages, you get this feeling of pride and accomplishment. Chills went through me when my team and I rescued the first hostage. What a gripping game!! Very well made. Hopefully more great games like this will be made in the future. These are the kinds of games that really make you love this country. It would be very cool to be in an elusive team such as Rainbow. Stopping treats from foreign enemies. You will enjoy this game a whole lot. 5 stars. One of my top 10 favorite games.

I was looking for a good tactical game which required strategy and analytical thinking. This one has it all. As with Mr. Clancy's books, rich in detail and realism. I enjoy this game thoroughly.
