Today's Parallel Bible (2000, Hardcover)

This is an awesome study Bible. It is like getting 4 Bibles in 1. You get the King James, New International, New Living Translation, and New American Standard. All four translations are column form side by side which makes studying each translations and how it is put awesome. It is a large Bible, so carrying to church might be a tad much. Great Study Bible!

I love that there are four translations... there are a couple of downsides though: The NIV and NLT translations are very similar to the point where there really isn't much extra elaboration between the two of them, it probably would've been nicer to have the Amplified version instead of NIV; it is bulky, so if using this as your "take to church" Bible, it gets a bit cumbersome. I also haven't been able to find a tote or cover that is big enough for this one to make carrying it to church a bit easier. HOWEVER, this Bible has still been EXTREMELY useful in studying and just general reading. I do love the different translations. KJV is necessary for looking up things in Strong's Concordance and I have other perspectives right there with 3 other translations. This is a good investment!

This is one Bible that every believer need to have in there library!! If you have a little problem understanding the KJV just look to your left or right and there is another version with a clear understanding of what the KJV is saying!! Would recommend to anyone!! Actually we bought two!!!!!!

It was a great gift and well liked. It is great having 4 versions of the Bible on two pages just in front of you. Makes understanding easier. I plan on getting a few more for friends in Brazil that need practice reading English.
It wasn't quite the versions I was looking for but was close enough to pass on as a gift.

I purchased this bible for my wife, and she loves it. She is in a bible study group that doesn't use bibles with study notes, and they all use different translations. Since the majority of her group uses either the niv, kjv, nlt, or nasb, this was perfect. Plus, comparing the different translations side-by-side has helped her get a better understanding of the scriptures. This bible is a little on the big side, but in my opinion saves space, because you don't have to have 4 bibles laid out on the table, just one. And besides, if it were smaller, then the print size would be too small. We can't have it all I guess :) I give it two thumbs up for quality and content and highly recommend it to anyone.

I like this book because of the four traslations. I can better understand my readings by comparing the differant translations that are side by side all four. I no longer need to have four differant books, it's all in one!
