Titus - The Complete First And Second Seasons (DVD, 2005)

Like many others who were blown away by the brilliant script-writing and perfectly matched ensemble acting of this series when it debuted on TV, I knew I had to own a DVD set when it became available. Seinfeld was good, but Titus was even better. Let's all hope the creative genius of Christopher Titus will once again grace the airwaves at some point in the future (and knock out a "reality show" or two in the process!).

It was brand new and in excellent condition! The only thing was that I ordered it on December 8th and I didnt get it till the day before christmas....cutting it close!

The entire series should still be on air. Christopher Titus is a comic genius. Period.

This show should have never been taken off of the air. This is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen in my life and it is a show people can definitely relate to.

If you like the stand up comedy of Chris Titus, you will love this t.v series brought back to dvd. I used to watch this when it was on tv and could hardly wait a week to see the nest episode. This series is out right hilarious, gut busting, had a bad day a feel better show. This was one of the funniest shows on tv!

When I first watched this show...years back when it was on Fox, I loved the show for who and what it is. I had no clue Titus was a comedian. I just thought the show was so real! This isn't about a happy family with stupid problems that no one in the world can relate to...this is REAL! Thisis what a family is really like! The show is based around Chris Titus who basically narrates his life. He has a nice girlfriend, a very dumb brother Dave, a very flamboyant best friend and partner Tommy (My favorite character!), and his lustful drunk father. I love how he narrates the epsiodes. No one else does that! After the show was off air...years later I saw Chris Titus doing standup. And his standup (Normal Rockwell is bleeding) is exactly like what he said in the TV! Its is really good! Get this DVD and you will be laughing because you are glad your family isnt like his!

I bought the DVDs because the show was amazingly funny! It was one of the GREATEST shows I've ever seen. I love it!

FUNNY TOO THE LEND. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE 3RD SEASON
bought the NewPhone 74205 three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. Titus opens his series with a fact; 60% of American households are considered dysfunctional, making his family the majority. This opening line puts into perspective what to expect from this," family," comedy. A loose cannon for a mother, an abusive drunk for a father, and a feeble minded brother adds comedy to this excellent series no longer to be found on cable tv. If you are a fan of War At Home, you will enjoy this series.

Here are some quick impressions of the series Titus, starring Christopher Titus and his dysfunctional family, fiancee and friends. I trimmed back some of my cable offerings due to budget considerations, and did not have access to the Showtime network that airs Titus. Recently however, I was watching Comedy Central and caught Titus' "Norman Rockwell is Bleeding" skit, based on his upbringing in northern California by his (alcoholic) father. Some may view Titus' style of comedy a bit risky because he dives headlong into controversial issues concerning family, friends and relationships. He holds nothing back, and either you like that or you don't. For example, during one scene (in a flashback to when Titus was a youngster hanging out with dad-played very well by Stacey Keach-in a bar) they went to the mens room where there was a dispenser hanging on the wall. Titus asked dad for some change for bubble gum, at which point he informs Titus that he might as well have "the" conversation with his son (about sex) now and explains that ribbed for her pleasure is for the first time-after that don't waste the extra quarter...you see what I mean: hilarious on the one hand, but a bit scary as most of Titus material is based more or less on real-life experiences! If your not too timid-get it, watch it, and laugh your head off!

Are you looking for real life comedy that doesn't go into the stereotypical jokes over and over again? Then this is DEFINATELY the comedy for you. Based on Christopher Titus's bad childhood, this sitcom goes places no one else wants to go. Drinking problems, marijuana use, physco mothers...what more could you ask for? Titus does a fine job of making you laugh at the dark parts of life, especially when things get crappy. FOX took it off the air because it was too controversial, so obviously it has to be funny. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this sitcom - it's different and HILARIOUS! If you don't like it then, as Papa Titus would've put it, you're a wussy.

this show ROCKS, a lot of people never got it, this was real life & way too funny, it was dark & went places cosby would never go, butt if you had a messed up family growing up then you can relate & you will see you are just a wussy compared to what christopher titus went thru, stacy keach is a 90's answer to archie bunker, someday this show will get what it deserves, it had great ratings butt FOX turned into a big wussy since this show was going into taboo subjects, if you like real life sitcoms that are real, you will LOVE this & you will never forget PAPA TITUS, he steals the show & the rest of the gang was great too, just sad it ended, butt not forgotten, the only problem was some did not get it & since they did not start from the beginning, they did not get it, butt now that has been solved, you can start from episode 1 & go to the end, a timeless treasure!!!!!!!!!
