Titleist DCI Black Iron set Golf Club

Great forgiveness, clean look, and hit the ball super solid. I used these irons for 4 years because i just didn't hit other irons as good.

The original Titleist DCI Black irons are one of the best set of irons ever made. They have classic good looks, wear well, are forgiving, and hit the ball accurately and long while still giving consistent distance - no fliers. They also perform well around the greens. Many irons that hit the ball long (e.g. Callaway X-12) are too hot off the face for good chipping. The DCIs are not like this at all. I have played about 50 different sets of irons over the years, but I keep coming back to these irons. Also, my two lowest rounds and my only hole-in-one came using a set of DCI irons. I don't think it's a coincidence that the man (John Hoeflich) who designed the original DCI irons also designed the Tommy Armour 845s and the TaylorMade RAC irons. His designs work, period. They also look great in the bag. If you want a set that will perform well and wear well for years without costing too much, get a set of the original Titleist DCI irons (Black or Gold Triangle). They are one of the best values on Ebay.

I liked these so much when they first came out that I traded in a custom made set of Pings for them. I couldn't believe how solid they felt. That was back in the mid ninties. Since then I've owned and hit many different irons and have as yet to find one that hits as solid as these do.

I too have played the DCI blacks since I was in high school, about 14 years. If you are a 6 handicap or better, you aren't going to find a better set of irons. The short irons and wedges are as solid and workable as a blade, and the long irons hit the ball high and soft. About a year ago, I started shopping for a new set of irons. I've tried all the most recent models of irons from all the major companies, and I didn't find anything as solid as these. I found a set of DCIs here on Ebay that is in really good condition, and I bought them. I bet they'll last me another 10 - 14 years. I'm keeping my eye out for another set in good condition to keep for the 14 years after that.

One bad thing about these irons is the original stock shaft, the MS-209, is no longer made. So, if you are buying, make sure the shafts match throughout the set or you'll end up with a hodgepodge of swing weights.

Lost some clubs and decided on buying a few sets with a stiff shaft instead of the regular. I was amazed with the packing of these clubs from the seller, each club was wrapped seperate and all together as you would get with a new set. And the grips were in very good condition unlike what you would pay from ALOT of people on this site. Thanks again, and you have a buyer in me.

The DCI black series clubs are the best irons ever made. They are forgiving for off center shots and rewarding when you hit the sweet spot. Do yourself a favor and get a set of Titleist DCI black traingle irons.

My friend bought a similar set of clubs a few years ago and bragged about them. When these Titleist DCI clubs became available on eBay I had to try them for myself. The clubs were in very good shape and the price was right. I'm still playing with them and will for many months to come.

These clubs are very forgiving. I always used Callaways and this was the first time I played with the Titleist DCI Black, oversized clubs. They are fantastic. I heard that Titleist discontinued producing the oversized clubs. I hope this is not true. High handcaps like me can really enjoy using them.
