The Titleist 983K 8.5 degree driver with made for Titleist Fujikura Speeder Stiff graphite shaft is an outstanding driver. The perfect marriage for a swing speed around 100 to 105mph. The 365 cc head is large enough to be comfortable and forgiving, but small enough to make this club very workable. In many opinions the best Titleist has to offer and remains among the top five search items on the PGA Value website. I have played the 983K for several years. I have two an 8.5 degree and 9.5 degree the latter I use for tighter fairways. I have had the oppurtunity to use many of the new drivers including the newer Titleists but still play and will continue to play the 983K until I find something better. I bought several of them last year on Ebay because I would lend my backup to friends and they offered to buy it rather than give it back. I am amazed that at 62 years of age I hit the ball further than ever and still find I can work the ball with this driver. The Titleist 983K is a best buy club for high and low handicap players. This driver is hot, I really like the way the ball pops off the head. It is the most forgiving driver I have ever tried. The best thing about the driver is when I miss hit a shot it still goes almost the same distance.
