Titleist 905R Driver Golf Club

I've played Titlesit drivers for several years, with the exception of a Cleveland Launcher 460 I bought last year. I did not like the ball flight of Launcher (way too high), so my Titleist 475J-VS went back into my bag. I had no desire to try another 460cc driver. However, after reading many positive reviews on the 905R, I decided to give it a try.
I bought a 905R 9.5 with the YS-6+ shaft on eBay about 3 weeks ago. My previous experience with upgrading to the next generation of Titlesist driver was somewhat underwhelming because the difference was not that dramatic and justification for the amount of money spent was difficult. This is definitely not the case with the 905R. The day I got it, I went to my course and used it to tee off on the first hole. My first thought when I saw my ball keep going and going was "Who hit that ball?" The difference between my previous Titleist driver and the 905R is amazing and well worth the cost. I've never felt better about paying as much for something that I probably didn't need. The ball flight seems to be perfect for me; it bores into the wind very well and seems to get pretty decent roll. It's longer than any other driver I've hit and amazingly straight, even with a marginal swing. Even though the distance suffers from a mishit, the ball usually ends up pretty close to the intended line.
Unlike previous Titlest drivers, I think the 905R would be a good fit for most average golfers. The forgiveness is unbelievable and it really sets up nice at address. Even though the head is 460cc's, it doesn't look out of proportion as do some of the 460cc drivers. Every golfer is a little different and the equipment we use is definitely not a "one size fits all". The 905R seems to be a perfect fit for me and will stay in my bag for a long long time.

Struggled with a 2 degree open CG HiBore XLS Tour 9.5* driver even though I had history of hooking with my old driver. Bought the 905R and fell in love immediately. Beautiful, classic club shape. Huge sweet spot. Low torque shaft. Forgiving but workable. I think I'll be playing with this driver for many years to come. Go for it- I did and have no regrets!

I have enjoyed the play in golf course as well as in-doors.

I'm an 8 handicap who always used regular shafts but I have become somewhat eratic of late so I wanted something with a little more control. The 905R w/ V2 has lots of pop and good control. The shaft offers a lot more control. My only beef is not a big one, it sounds like an old persimon driver...but besides that I love it....(so far)

Top of the line driver. Without a doubt Titleist's best driver to date. Titleist is known for the outstanding quality of each club they produce, the 905R is the flagship of 460cc drivers out there.

Great set-up at address. Though an older model, it got a hot face and competitive in distance. I decided to prurchase this driver because they are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

905R Driver's conditin is very good except one big scratch that I cannot find at photo. And price is little bit high. However, seller send driver very quickly. Overally, I am satisfied this driver.

After my wife tried my 905R 10.5 Regular, she wanted one. Got one with a Senior shaft and she is now keeping up with the ladies and there newest hot Callways.

In a word, solid.

Aesthetically there's nothing to get used to, it's traditional shape is just simple and clean. The 905R's square face angle instills confidence as there are no compensating angles or weird shapes you need explained for their existence, it's just clean.

Not sure what to say about the sound it makes other than it doesn't draw attention from 3 fairways over like some of the newer drivers do.

Overall, I can give no better endorsment than to say that with all of the quality choices we have today, this is the driver that's in my bag.

this club and shaft combo is a great combo. I carry the ball about 15 years farther with this driver then my old one.

The club that I bought on ebay was just what I wanted. It came when it was ordered and in great shape. I love it and the service.

The club did not work properly. Seller refused to take the club back. I spoke with a fellow who sold me the club he said to try and resell the club on E bay. To me this is just taking my problem and making it someone else problem.
Any way this is very upsetting to me . I have tried the club several times with the same result.

These reviews are all over the place; I slice less: I slice more; Hit it consistently straighter than any other driver I've used; I'm all over the place with it!!!!! Proves one thing, there simply isn't the perfect club out there! I tried this club with a senior type shaft (soft regular) and am no more consistent with it than I was with any other driver. So, I drive with a 3 wood! Everytime I think another driver will answer my needs, I get disappointed. My back swing is limited due to shoulder injuries so the 3 wood is the answer for me. If you have a limited back swing, the long shafted driver is simply not for you. I think the Titleists tend to lean towards the lower handicapped golfer. I just wish I was one of them!!

this driver is like all titleists, sneaky long. It is very long, and very forgiving. I would tell anyone to buy this club.

Love the traditional sahpe Titleist puts on a 460cc driver. It has great feel and cosmetics that are hard to find in a driver today. Can work the ball, but not as easy as the smaller heads. Overall, an above average driver for anyone 20 handicap to the scratch golfer

Great 460cc driver, forgiving and long, you do need to make sure the shaft fits you, I have owned multiple Titleist drivers and each one was an improvement on the last. This one is no exception. I would Rate this A1

I like the fact that the used club was in perfect condition and fairly priced. Also liked option of having delivered via post instead of UPS, which saved brogerage and duty fees.
