Forged heads give good feel, but most importantly very solid contact. The increased density compared to cast head gives increased distance. I got mine with Precision Rifle Flighted 6.0 which are great. I was using S300 stiff flex and the 6.0 is just slightly less stiff and combined with flighted flex it is easier to get the ball up - especially long irons. I swing much easier now, good thing since I am not young anymore, and am getting 10 yards extra per club. i am also hitting very straight shots. The heads are large and very forgiving. Off center hits still go ok. There is a very healthy offset. This is great on 3-6 irons. But I sure wish the offset was less on the 8-W, especially the wedge. Have to change the swing to get that "pinch" contact. This is why I could not rate them 5/5. Overall, happy with them, love the longer distance, easier swing, awesome shafts, and glad I opted for easier to hit clubs vs. more demanding shot shaping clubs. Who shapes shots anyway besides pros? I'll take straight anyday.

I hadn't bought new irons for over 12 years because I was satisfied with my old ones. Recently retired and wanting to do a lot more golfing, I decided to look for something more up-to-date. I bought these Titleists because they were priced right, were forged, were being played by some professionals, and were aimed at players of all skill levels. I don't keep a handicap, but if I did, I'd be about a 12-14. Since buying these, I've purchased two additional sets of irons for comparison and the fun of change. These Titleists are as long, if not longer, than the other brand-name sets despite the high ball flight that I get with them. The feel of the forgings is excellent and they seem to be as forgiving as the others. I believe that the OS label means that they're oversized, so they shouldn't be very effective at shaping shots. However, as I mentioned earlier; some professionals are using them so they must be capable of doing it. I don't shape many shots, but I can do it in my own small way with these irons. I've measured them with my imperfect tape measure and they appear to be the exact same size as my other 'mid-size' irons so what does 'oversize' mean? I bought my set brand new on ebay at a significantly-reduced price and am very satisfied. They're worth an in-person look at your local golf shop before you buy new irons.

when you hit the club solid, it feels perfect. Almost like the clubface is hitting a bouncy ball. Feel great and perform great.

I like the irons because they have thick topline which is rare for any Titleist Irons. The clubs are oversized but still maintain a very classic look unlike some oversized irons that look like garden tools. These irons are forgiving, have a huge sweet spot, and with the strong lofts make shots go longer. I bought the clubs because I wanted forgiveness and a classic look which the 804 delivers on both. I would highly recommend these clubs for anyone looking for the same characteristics, plus the Titleist Brand.

The 804's are most definately the best feeling set of irons I've hit, and over the years I've had many sets, mostly the game improvement type of clubs. Although these are referred to as blades, they aren't actually blades. I would say they are the bridge between the cavity backs and blades. They are forgiving up to a point. A good strike is a marvelous feeling. For me ( 10 hdcp) I find that I get better results with a more downward blow that with a sweeping one.
Don't know why that is,but it just feels very much more solid in the the 4, 5 6 irons. The short irons are incredible. Solid, like the ball gets squished. Lower hdcps would probably like these clubs also. They are workable. Higher hdcps , 18 or higher might be unhappy with them. There is some forgiveness, but when you get beyond that point, they miss like a true blade.

I BOUGHT A SET OF USED 804.OS STIFF SHAFTS ON EBAY RECENTLY AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE CLUBS. I HAVE ALWAYS PLAYED TITLEIST IRONS FROM THE ORIGINAL DCI'S TO THE 962,981, AND 762. THIS IS THE BEST HITTING SET OF IRONS I'VE HAD. THEY DON'T GIVE THE FEEL OR THE LOOK OF AN OVERSIZE CLUB BUT THEY ARE FORGIVING AND EASY TO SQUARE UP TO THE BALL WITH THE OFFSET. I HAVE FOUND NO FLAWS IN THESE CLUBS AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO IS THINKING ABOUT GIVING THEM A TRY.

These are the third set of titleist's I've owned and by far the most forgiving. If you want a set of "game improvement irons" and still want the Titleist name, then these are you clubs.

I am very pleased with these irons. They are much more forgiving than my previous set of irons and they have a softer feel when the ball is hit correctly. In addition, I am hitting them 5 - 10 yards further than my previous set of irons.

These irons, with the Nippon shafts, are the best feeling irons I've ever hit. Very forgiving and a little longer than your normal irons. I am a gear junkie, and I've tried every iron out there. Most of which I've bought on Ebay. These are the best I've ever hit!! I've tried these with the Dynamic Gold shafts and they are still nice but a little too much swing weight for me, but still very nice. I think the swing weight with the Nippon shaft is D0 and with the Dynamic Gold is D1.

it was my first experience with e-bay. it won't be my last.
i bought the golf clubs i wanted at a great price and was delivered to me in a timely fashion. the people at the pro shop who handled the sale were very nice

I was in the market for a new set of irons. I did not want to buy a brand new set for $600.00- $800.00. I looked on ebay and found what seemed to be good values on pre owned clubs.
The irons I ended up purchasing from the pictures on ebay looked like they were in excellent condition. There were no scratches on anything on the iron heads. When I received them that was not the case. I beleive the seller rated them a 9 out of 10. I would rate them a 6 out of 10. I am sure he had good in tensions, however I do not think I would purchase something like this again on ebay. I would have paid a lot less if I had seen them in person first.
