      Titleist 735: Blended CHROME Irons

This is a great set of clubs. The 735s have progressive heads going from deep cavity backs on the 3 and 4, to the medium cavity on the 5, 6 and 7, to the blades on the 8 thru wedge. This was almost a perfect fit for me. I like to "attempt" to work the ball and these clubs have allowed me to do it more consistently than with my old Titleist DCI Gold irons. In fact, the next purchase will be the 2-iron as soon as someone puts one on Ebay. I tried out these irons at a local fitting club and found that I could control the 6-iron regularly. Which I couldn't say about the DCIs.

They also have a sweet top line. That is one thing that I disliked about most newer clubs coming out on the market, is that there top line was too thick.

These clubs could easily be played by most anyone that has a 10 handicap on down. The blades give you the feel and control that most better players want and need. Let's face it, the better player is usually hitting 8-iron on down to wedge after their drive. The cavity backs allow for the slight mishit that can occur with the longer irons.

If you are looking for the upgrade, these are it. But I would get fit first, either on your own (by trying out clubs of different lengths and bend) or just pay the money to have someone tell you want you need. Then fire up Ebay and find it.

I am extremely happy with my irons...and I hope you will be too.

Wow! I believe Titleist is the first to offer stainless or soft carbon steel in one model of club. And to make things more intresting....they are progressive. This should appeal to mid and low index players. Engineered to be more forgiving then a true blade and give good results for a well struck ball.
