Tithe by Holly Black (2004, Paperback, Reprint)

Anyone that can say that this is a terrible book either didn't understand it or didn't bother to read it. Since this is the first book that this author has had published, it is hard to compare this to her other writings when this came out. For anyone who grew up in that area of New Jersey and appreciates the eerie protocols of teenager's lives on the Jersey Shore, this book is a staple for urban fairy tales in modern society.

This was the first book by Holly Black that I have ever read and now I am looking for others of hers and I can’t wait to read the sequel, Iornside! It was wonderfully well written and kept my attention tell the end I read it in one sitting!

For a book geared towards young people, this book is terrible. I as a parent previewed it before I gave it to my fifteen year old daughter. After I read bits and pieces of it,I threw it in the trash. I do not recommend it at all. I purchased it for her because a previous book by this same author had been a good book, but not this one.

Well 1st of all let me tell you Holly Black is a great writer.. When I read this book I couldn't put it down for one second.. I can honestly say im addicted to her books lol.. You will not be dissapointed... Enjoy!

I read this book because i read Valiant. I loved it just as much. Holly Black uis an amazing writer. This book will keep you awake all night to finish it. The charters are well written and the farie mordern day effect and blend is awesome!!!
