The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger (2003, Hardcover)

I swear when I picked up this book at my local library, I had no idea it would turn out to be a chick book. Reading the front flap it sounded like an awesome time traveling book. Even as I was reading it, the term chick book, didn't even occur to me; I was totally immersed in Henry's adventures in time. It turned out to be one of my most favorite books of all time (right up there with the DaVinci Code.) It actually wasn't until the movie came out that I said to myself,"Did I just really read a chick book?" and came to the conclusion, no, I just really read an AWESOME book.

I wanted to read this before the movie came out. So far (about 2/3 of the way through), I really like it. Sometimes hard to keep some of the characters straight as Henry goes back and forth in time. Overall, a good quick read.

I saw this movie was coming out and wanted to read the book first. Really great book. I hope movie is just as great.

Wonderful book, about how love can find you in some weird, incredibly unique (Even if impossible) ways. The romance and deep, true love in this book is breath taking. I love this book because it shows how finding your true love is possible, and then the life after that. Through struggles, and hardships. This is an amazing book, just give it a chance, I'm sure you'll like it.

I wanted this book. It was exactly what I was looking for. The price was in the range I wanted. The seller had good feedback.

I listened to The Time Traveler's Wife on a book on cd. It is so original and, ultimately, so touching. It's one of the few books on cd that I've kept. I would like to have it in hardcover, also. If you read it, you certainly won't forget it.

I bought this book because a friend told me that it is one of her all-time favorites... and I can now see why! I like books that are unpredictable, and this is certainly one of those. And, since I am sentimental - this one got to me on that level too. I was impressed by the author's honesty and reality when explaining the frustration of dealing with everything from disappearing soul-mates, to conception and miscarrage issues. This book is well written (if a little long)... and I would pass it along to any of my girlfriends who want to get lost in a story for a while! Enjoy...
