The Time Traveler's Wife is definitely an adventure

If you admire a great imagination, you will love this book. Facing the problems of leaving one time zone and shifting to another 5 years before or after may be a problem for the traveler, but for the writer to explain it all is a gargantuan task.
But, here it is in beautiful order, well written, with every possible problem faced and dealt with, a perfectly normal man in every way trying to live his live, flip flopping through different years. He meets his wife when she is 6 years old....how strange is that?
After they're married and want a child, then what?
Can anyone solve this dilemma?
The writing is full of great ideas with vivid descriptions, told by two people, Henry and Claire, from different perspectives alternately, making each event clearer in the mind of the listener.
This book isn't for everyone. The language can be a bit brutal from time to time, but most adults would not particularly be disturbed by this so-called "Street language." But on the whole it's a great bit of prose. The story itself is dramatic, interesting, and very imaginative. A science fiction buff would love this book on tape. It contains 8 tapes and runs at least 8 hrs.
I was amazed at the thinking involved in preparing this book, and the way it flowed in and out of time. Can you imagine holding a job and never knowing when or where you'll be next?
