Synopsis A bear, a snail, a skunk, and a turtle know winter is coming, but try to put off their hibernation so they can see what that season is like. As it gets colder and colder, the animals get more and more sleepy. Will they ever be able to experience winter for themselves? Color illustrations accompany the text.
When Bear notices that winter is nearly here he hurries to tell Snail, after which each animal tells another until finally the already sleeping Bear is awakened in his den with the news.
