Time Bandits (DVD, 1999)

The video & sound quality of VHS is adequate for this movie. I like the historic aspect of the movie even if the facts are not accurate, it is somewhat educatinoal and portrayed in a humorous way (if you like Monty Python). The special effects are lacking by todays standards, but the story is still enjoyable. Who doesn't enjoy little people anyway?

I purchased this because I have children now and I thought I should share the story with them. I enjoyed the movie in the 80's and they have enjoyed it 20+ years later. I purchased the VHS version because I didn't want to invest a lot into a special edition DVD that would only be watched 2 or 3 times.

This is a timeless classic. There are a lot of familiar faces here and a fun story. If you want a 'Wizard of Oz' type story this is a great pickup.

TB weas great just like I remmbered it when I was a kid it came in mint condition no scratches the pakaging was good and sturdy no loose ends .Great JobI, will treasure it forever !

This is a cool movie bringing me back to the days of rainy day recess. I wanted to show my kids how the movies were when I was a kid. Now we are enjoying this on together.

A lovely and endearing film. Appliance obsessed parents raising an ordinary boy find themselves unaware of their abandonment as boy and inept group of men travel together in and out of history. In a world that the boy is the most knowledgeable and listened to person.

Absolutely brilliant movie. One of my alltime favorites.
Also safe for the entire family.
One of Monty Pythons best works. I highly reccomend it.

I love this movie. It makes me laugh all the way through...the Supreme being chasing down his underlings who stole his map of the universe for personal gain...after many adventures he tracks them down...very funny tale.

This has been a long favorite of my whole family and I. When the kids were still at home, we could recite whole chunks of the funny dialog then crack up laughing. " Pansy, the problem! It's coming back!" and other little gems. It's the story of some dwarfs beiing bandits and a kid named Kevin and the goofy adventures they get iinto. I highly recomend this movie.

The person I gave it to really loved it and was very happy with it. Especially since she had been looking for it for awhile.

I bought this movie that was one of my favorites back in the 80's so that I could enjoy it with my kids. It has many of the cast members from Monty Python (John Cleese, etc.) and follow some Little People that work for the "Supreme Being". These Little Folks steal a time map that allows them to becomc Robbers of treasure through time. They pick up a young boy by accident on there first trip out and the movie takes off from there. Plenty of Silly Python slapstick, Highly Recommended for Adults and Kids alike.

A funny, quirky movie. You need a sense of humor that understands 'Monty Python' type humor; especially as Terry Gilliam is the producer of 'Time Bandits'. Our family used to watch this a lot and had lost our vhs copy; we recently remembered it and were glad to find it on ebay. If you like this, try, 'The Adventures of Baron Munchausen'.

I enjoyed this movie a lot ever since i was younger and it first came out. The cast is really good for this movie and the differnet situations they put them selves in is hilarious and fun.

I bought this because I saw it in the theatres in 1981. It had stood the test of time. Some of the music is anacronistic but... it is supposed to be. This is a classic fantasy by Terry Gilliam. Wonderful humour and characters. John Clees's Robin Hood is wonderful. Sean Connery is a surprise. George Harrison is one of the producers and did all the music ecept for the song sung for Napoleon. It was as good as I remember.

My son had requested this movie for his birthday and I was worried I wouldnt be able to find it for him. I found it on Ebay in a matter of a couple of minutes. The movie was new and for a good price. I received it in record time.
Very good product, I give it high recommendations.

This Brilliant movie by Terry Gilliam is an incredible adventure film involving Little Pirates, traveling through time and space, with brilliant effects and a great story. Check the awe inspiring performances by John Cleese, Sean Connery and Shelley Duvall.

Watch this movie and have a great time for the whole family, and remember that this movie was made before the film industry went digital, Impressive.

I love fantasy like movies and this movie is all about fantasy. Cleverly mixed in with Monty Python humor. Midgets (who work for God) travel through time to rob the treasures of past empires using a stolen map. They eventually end up face to face with pure evil and a great battle. Great costumes and settings with an unusual ending. Oh! there is an appearance of Robin Hood, an Ogre, and Napolean.

I got screwed.....again. another DVD advertised as like new, and is all scratched. This will be my last purchase for DVD's and CD's on eBay. Too bad, it used to be worth it.

This movie has some major big name actors and it was and is a childhood classic for the 80s kids! The little guys should be given so much credit for doing such great jobs in this movie.
