If you are a huge Nightmare Before Christmas fan this game will seem great but by half way thru it will test your resolve to love it.
This game has a few really aggravating points. Firstly this game is very very short it has alot of levels but 90% of them can be beat within a few moments.
Secondly and worst is in this game when you meet up with an enemy or sally you(jack) and them launch into song that just will not quit.These songs are sung to the tunes of the ones in the film but all the words are different and they end up sounding cheesy instead of cute.
You(jack) and your enemy will sing thru a whole battle and so know that if it does take you 10+ mins to beat them you will have to endure the corny singing over and over thru the battle..
For Example: It took my Husband and I 45 mins to get the doc's real brain in his head, so for 45 mins we had to listen to them singing to each other.
As for my third problem with this game, It's minor and may just be me.
But 95% of this game is in black and white and a lil brown so looking at such stark colors to play for a period of time can cause a real headache/eye strain.
I couldn't take it for very long.. maybe 30 mins at a time..
So this game gets a D+ for two big Nightmare Before Christmas fans.

I bought this for a bday gift for my son. I couldn't get it anywhere else. I have been told they don't sell it any more.I got it very quick it was easy to recieve and he LOVES it. He plays it every day. I really don't like it or dislike it becaus eI don't use it but he likes it alot.

I bought this as a surprise for my two daughters who both love Nightmare Before Christmas. They absolutely love this game! They both like to play it and neither one has a problem playing (one is 9 and the other is 18). I recommend this game.

The game kept to the story line very well. Looking forward to the next Nightmare! The graphics were very good in this game considering all the characters were already animated. All round my family enjoyed the game almost as much as the movie.

My daughter, who is now 18, has always been obsessed with THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. When she heard this game was out, she went to all our local stores looking for it. She wasn't able to find it, so I was able to get it for her on eBay. She loves the game and its graphics, and I suppose she'll play it until her fingers are worn to nubs or the game breaks.

If you love the movie then you will love the game!
This game is great. The imagery is fabulous. Yes, a lot of it is darker colors as one reviewer put it.. however, the movie was the same way. Halloween Town is not joyful and merry... it's dark and gloomy. The graphics are very true to the movie. I loved exploring the various movie sets. Tons of fun.
As far as the music goes.. that does grow a bit old. If you are like me and can't necessarily beat the baddies on the first try then you will be hearing a LOT of music!
Overall though, the game is fun. It looks like the movie and for the most part sounds like it too. The controls are easy to get the hang of.
Give it a chance! I think you'll love it.

I love this game. It is the sequel to Nightmare before Christmas. The graphics are awesome for a PS2 game and the storyline is seamless. I bought this game for a friend, and we argue about who's turn it is to play!

Dislikes are the graphics. Just like any other ps2 game if you have got used to the ps3 or xbox 360. Although they relly could have done better with the graphics. Likes are that the game is easy understand and controls are easy. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and its a great action game.

This is Halloween...this is halloween...Great game, easy to pick up the basic movements, cool stages and gameplay, and an awesomely familiar soundtrack. Definitely a must have.

I bought this game because I like NBC, this was a nice title, but it is a reskinned version of devil may cry. The music is pretty uninspired, It uses some of the songs from the movie, but they are done by the cast of the game, and some of he lyrics are off. The cutscenes could have used a little more time in polishing, but they are passable. Some of the levels are a little frustruating, but overall, it's an OK game
