Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 (Xbox 360, 2006)

There are new courses and bigger crowds in this version, but what makes it better is how much more challenging it is. You can play according to your skill level by setting it to easy, balanced (default), hard or pro tour. The biggest differences that make it so challenging are: - Can't switch the swing stick to the right analog anymore...stuck with the left one.
- Your aim gives you a very WIDE circle of where the ball will land, not a pinpoint like previously. So if you are pitching onto the green, your landing area might cover the whole green!
- Putting is extremely difficult and the controller is super sensitive. I missed quite a few 2 footers with a small break...no gimmies here!
- The fairways and rough play a lot like a real course...much more realistic than before

OK...with last years Tiger Woods PGA tour '06, I don't know about you but I was very very disappointed. This year they made up for it a good bit! There are still only 12 courses (compared to 22 or so on PS2 and normal xbox) but how many courses do you really need to make the game fun...12 is plenty in my opinion. Maybe they'll come up with more courses for next year, but for now, I'm happy.

The graphics are amazing! Unlike last years game, the swing and motions are not choppy. They are smooth and provide for great and amusing gameplay! There is online competition to play against as well as great scorekeeping tools, as always.

This is a must have for any xbox 360 owner! Especially if you have enjoyed Tiger Woods titles in the past!

This is easily the best golf game i have ever played. They made it very simple yet very fun to play. Graphics are awesome. Tons of Courses. I would say this is a buy for any golf fans!

I read the reviews before posting this one and I saw a lot of "Putting is too hard". I found the putting to be WAY TOO EASY. Unless you play on Tour difficulty (the highest), then the game shows a grid on the green of where the breaks are and how steep they are. (Without the grid, it's impossible, but with the grid it's too easy.) I found myself 1 putting almost every single time, even from 30, 45, even 65+ feet away. However, on some holes if the pin location is on a hard slope, putting can be quite annoying. For the most part, putting is too easy.

Also, one of the main game modes "Tiger Challenge", is bad. You go through a series of 5 player brackets until you meet Tiger in a 1 on 1 match. These players you have to play are horrible. The first three players in each bracket are so bad that you only have to shoot par to beat them. It is kind of fun to play these people because each one has a special attribute that you get when you are done, such as "Ball striking skill". The computer opponent will have ok driving ability, great iron shots, and poor putting shots.

I think the game isn't worth buying.

Very much like the 06 version game play is smooth and interesting. Putting in this game is considerably different though. The grid is harder to read and has defects. Tiger Vision does not exist causing more missed putts. Overall very strong game.

THIS GAME IS ABSOLUTLY AMAZING! iT'S GRAPHICS ARE SUPERB AND I LOVE THE SYSTEM FOR IT! I WOULD RECOMEND THIS game TO ANYONE!

I love the players that have been added to 2007, I really love the new courses because I have been to several PGA events at these courses and like to see how close it comes to the real thing!

I have owned and played the entire Tiger Woods series and done so on several gaming platforms (Playstation,PSP,xBox,xBox360) and I can say this edition for Xbox 360 is simply the best. As the games evolve with the technology, the graphics and play dynamics improve every year and EA Sports tweak the game annually in response to the army of fans this series has generated. I highly recommend this game!

Tiger Woods 2007 is the best video golf game that I have ever played. The graphics as well as gameplay is second to none.

First, let's talk about golf. Golf is a game about beauty, power, style and feel. This game lets you pretty much sense most of this without the wind in your hair. The graphics are gorgeous, the players look life-like, but still robotic, however this is the best attempt EA has had. The golf courses are spectacular and absolutely beautiful in HD. You feel a sense of power as you move up the ranks and your golf play gets better and better. There is also a learning curve, just like golf where you get better with practice.

There are still some issues. Some of the player animations don't make sense like a short putt and the player has a full swing follow through at the end of the animation. Putting still looks weird and the players overputt for the speed the ball moves. Still, very entertaining game, very nice graphics.

I have played all of the Tiger Woods games on the playstation 1 and playstation 2. When I got my Xbox 360 I played the 2006 game and was disappointed and the same with the 2007 game. The graphics aren't any better than the Playstation 2 and neither the 2006 or 2007 were as good as the 2005 for playstation 2 unfortunately you can't buy a 2005 game for the Xbox 360 and you can't play the Xbox 2005 game on the 360 system. The commentaries didn't always coincide with the shot you just made and when you were allowed to play alongside another character, their dialogue was insane and repeated too much. The same with their gestures that they made. Also when you get into the PGA Tour you have to play by yourself. Recently I discovered that Xbox has a golf game called Links 2004 that can be played on the 360 system. I read the reviews and they all agree that the game is better than the Tiger Woods games so until Electronic Arts gets on the ball I'm switching over. I still give the game a good rating because it is worth the money and there is a lot of playing time. I just think that it should be better on the 360 system.

Love the graphics and the swing control...I've owned the last 3 in the tiger woods franchise and they get better and better...

I would give it an excellent rating but the game is now out-dated because of Tiger 08. But if you don't want to spend the money on the new one. Go with this one. It has great graphics and the game play is great. I love playing it with a friends at home or hitting the LIVE and playing with someone clear across the globe. You wont be disappointed.

The online setup needs work!!!!!!!! It should have online tourments with multiple players. In addition it should have a more inactive wager system to make more interesting.

This game is phenomenal. It is not only a great game for golfers and non-golfers alike, but is great for multiplayer also. Nothing more to say.

I can't stop playing this game. graphics feel and game play are great. I bought previous versions thte past few years, and they keep getting better.

cant' wait for 2008, this is the best tiger woods that has come out yet, i love the putting its a little harder than before but a love a good challenge. I just wish there were more real life players in the game.

Any one remember that phrase from the old Tiger Woods game? Your opponent would be about to make a shot and you could click a button to jinx him... "Been there before" - "That was lucky"

Any ways, we just picked up this game yesterday and I have to say I'm impressed. The player training is fun, because you don't have to actually play other players to get your skills up (well to an extent) you can train your player up until his potential and then move on to the next round of golf. After that round is complete your players stats go up and you can train him / her again.

The graphics are phenomenal and realistic. Oh and did I mention you can hit the crowd with the ball? (Don't forget to press the X button and make it a punch shot so you can see the big tall guy grab his crotch when you "accidentally" smack him one)

All in all a good game, and from a guy who has played every one. It is definitely worth it! I promise...

I bought the game as a gift and I should of shopped around more I was told I paid too mcuh but otherwise the service was good.

I think this is another great game from EA Sports. Come on PGA fans grab a copy today and help Tiger Win another U.S. Open.
