Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 (Xbox 360, 2005)

I've been playing the Tiger Woods PGA series for about 5 years now. There is nothing like this game on the face of earth. If you are one of the lucky 39 people on the planet to have received an Xbox 360, then you need to get this game.

The players are fully customizable. I made someone look EXACTLY like me...of course, I needed a picture of myself while I was doing it. All jokes aside, the graphics are absolutely gorgeous. It is actually relaxing to sit back and play a few strokes, either as Tiger or as yourself. There are MANY challenges to attempt for actual gameplay. What is great is that it allows you to start of as a beginner and work your way up. The controls are VERY easy to get ahold of.

Even if you aren't a fan of golf, I think you'll enjoy this video game. Its a true masterpiece - graphics and gameplay. If you're lucky enough to have a Widescreen HDTV, then grab a pillow, a martini (21+ only), and sit back and play some golf. You might actually want to go to the driving range on your next day off!

Tiger Woods 2006 for the xbox 360 is a champion with no challenger.This year plays very simular to the last couple of years with only small changes to putting.The gameplay is a little to easy and seems to be set for everyone to feel like a pro which I dont favor because it really takes away from the challenge.The graphics are very good but can get better.The end result is there are no other golf games for the xbox 360 so if you like golf buy this one but if your not much of a golf player hold off.

I AGREE WITH WHAT EVERYONE ELSE HAS SAID THIS IS A GOOD GAME BUT IF YOU ALREADY OWN THE XBOX VERSION THERE IS NO REASON TO BUY THIS ONE THE GRAPHICS ARE SIMILAR AND THE 360 VERSION COSTS MORE MONEY SO SAVE YOUR MONEY AND HOPEFULLY THE 2007 VERSION WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE 360'S PROSCESSING POWER

This is all of the things that made Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 great and more. they added 2 more courses to all of the courses that they already had. The graphics are very good. It is the most realistic and the best golf game for all systems. If you are a golf fan then this is a must have.

Dis game is da shizzle. Da graphics r off da hook. Iz a bit challengin', but iz loads of fun and you be playin' fer hours at a time. Buy dis game. Dats wuts up.

Gameplay 5/10: If you like what the Tiger Woods series has been for the last 5-years, just expect more of the same. I think the controls in the series are overly simplistic and the ability to make good shots far too easy. There is one addition, the shape stick. Links 2004 already had it 2 years ago! EA can be sly in their marketing, pretending they invented the shape stick. Fact is, Links 2004 had it and it works much better in Links. Putting is a slight attempt to mimic Links 2004, but swing power is broken down into 10-yard increments. This ruins having "feel" over a put. Power control is the left shoulder button. OK, I get it (said sarcastically), it is hard to use your left pointer finger and thumb at the same time. This is really lame trying to control difficulty this way. Links had a power up feature that did need some tweaking of its own, but was still better. Online still does not have the 4-player simultaneous mode that Links had, which was an absolute HOOT!

Graphics 6/10: The courses look OK, but nothing special. I am shocked not to see any weather effects, no sun or shadow shifts due to time passing, no divots, and no remaining ball marks, everything looks too simple and too clean (unrealistic). The grass is OK, the sand and greens look OK. There is nothing next-generation about the graphics, other than the character creation and models.

Sound 7/10: The announcers are fun, but nothing new. The music provided is OK, at least it is not rock or rap like in past versions. Overall, there is nothing special about the sound.

Features 5/10: Only 6 courses. There is SO much more that could be done. One feature that is absolutely disgusting to me is the luck feature. As a person who plays golf in real life on a frequent basis, I can tell you the most rewarding thing in golf is making that chip in, long putt, or (maybe some day for me) that hole in one. In Tiger Woods, you can expect a hole in one nearly every round, and sometimes twice. All I ask from a video game is to create some physics and let the ball fly, bounce, and roll where it may. When I make a hole-in-one in Tiger Woods, I don't feel joy, I feel patronized and insulted!

Conclusion: If you haven't noticed by now, I am not happy with this game. I held of buying it for a while (with the $60 tag). I found it used for $45, and am disappointed I wasted that money on it. It is inferior to Hot Shots Golf 3, Fore, and Links 2004 golf games that have been out for a long time. The basic gameplay elements are flawed and it really isn't much fun. Besides that...this is SUPPOSED to be a next-generation game! Where is the innovation??? Where is the FUN? Where is the CHALLENGE?

I wanted to buy it on here because anywhere around where I live charges double the price for the same item, so it was convienent and alot cheaper to buy it on EBAY!

This is a awesome game with one exception. The helpful hints that were in the previous games are no longer there. I really enjoyed the graphics and the different styles that are available for you to customize your charecter. If you likes the other Tiger Woods games, this is a must have.

I just played this game for the first time a few days ago and I absolutely love it about a month ago i have just got into golf so this game explains holes clubs and everything for a gamer and a golf player to!! i highly reccomend this game to a golfer or just a regular gamer who just wants to have fun!!!!!

the game is very exciting if your into golf. you have the chance to play a nice verity of courses and use tons of equipment. It helps you read greens for real play and frustrates you in the drive distance. Just like real life, only down side is you get no credit for the play now feature.

This game is so realistic you feel as if you are on the golf glub swinging it yourself!!! Great game & easy to learn to use.

Tiger Woods 2006 for the XBOX 360 is a very good golf game. It's pretty similiar to the previuos versions of the TW series except its alot prettier. Not much has changed interms of game play. So unless you're a die hard fan you could do without this game.

I bought it to have some variety in my games.... I'm not a golfer, but the game is Fun....Plays well...and is nice to look at....The challenges are reasonably difficult but not too hard ....Bottom line is this game is a keeper...I wont be trading it. It is a good solid game.

I like the game play and the graphics of the game. I bought it because I wanted a tiger woods game but did not want to buy the 07 version for that much more money.

I have foregone paying the $50-$60 for new games, so when '07 comes out, I'll pick up '06. The game is outstanding, club control and realism is outstanding. The gameplay, competition (including side bets on shots) and multiplayer is smooth and challenging (in a good way - keeps it fresh). The create a player is so in depth you are able to PUT YOURSELF RIGHT IN THE GAME. For a great golf game at a great price TIGER WOODS is the way to go!!

I initially bought this game as a Christmas gift for a 10 year old boy... turns out that his father and all of his 30-40 year old co-workers enjoy it just as much if not more. The game is very fun, and not difficult at all to learn the controls. For any golf fan, or and video game junky, I would recommend this game!

it was OK 07 is much better. the graphics are pretty good but the game play is pathetic. i have it for psp as well and i loved it for that platform but the 360 version is just no good. there is no control. much too difficult for a video game

This is a great game, hardcore golfers will want the 07 version, deffinetly better but at the price you can buy this game for now, its deffinetly a buy for the not so hardcore golfer!!

This game is one of the most fun to play games of all the EA Sports games, because you can just pick it up and be playing a good round of golf in 10 minutes. Once you get better and better and upgrade your player, you will be shooting 59's in no times on courses like Turnberry-Ailsa, my personal best is a 50 there, lol.

Very Nicely Done. Just like being at the golf couse. one great feature is a super swing. just amazing. nice game engine, no lag. overall well done.

Improved graphics. Better swing controls. If your a fan of the Tiger Series on any platform, you will enjoy this title. Plenty of sub-games and skills builders to keep players interested when not in match play. Xbox 360 showcases their graphic talent on the courses on this one. Easy to learn for young players.
