I had borrowed this book from Peter's father, but hadn't really had a chance to read it. So I purchased it. I, being more spiritual than religous am curious about other religions, you could say I am on a quest, searching for a comfortable spot in the world of religion. I was raised catholic. But even as I child I was uncomfortable, and my quest started when I was around 15, I went a baptist church with a friend of mine, and found 'her church' was quite different then the mine. But life took me places where I found it hard to believe in 'God', or there was a 'God', at the same time knowing there has to be a reason, or something out there bigger then us... At age 40, I am still questing, and still questioning, but have developed my own system of beliefs that work for me. I recommend this book, if only to enlighten, or satsfy your own curiosities.

I have long been fascinated by the land of Tibet and hope one day to visit it. The customs of other cultures are of great interest. The Tibetan Book of the Dead is a journey into their way of leading the spirit of the deceased into the next step on their quest for a highly developed spirit. Not difficult to read, this small volume would be of great interest to those with an enquiring mind and freedom of thought for the ways of all people of our world.

  not what I expected

I needed this book for school and expected a regular complete copy. This is the purse-size edition of the book. I did not even read it but rather reordered a full-sized copy which has not arrived yet. I am down to the last week before the reading is due and getting nervous. What a waste of time and money.

It was the book I had been searching for, granted I oculd have gotten it at Barnes and Noble for $7.00, i wanted to go the ebay way.
The book is brand new, so I love it. I will be buying from them again.Great seller.
