Being brand new, I could not beat the price, What I didn't know is that you need two sources of TV programming for the duel function to work.

satellite box only - It will not work
Cable box with no RF splitter - It will not work
Cable box (with RF splitter - It works
Cable with no cable box - It works
Satellite Box & Basic cable ( no cable box) - It works

I love the freedom Tivo gives me and I can record shows I enjoy and watch when I want, skip the commercials and/or pause live TV. I've had cable DVR's and paid as much as $10 a month, at that price my Tivo will have paid for itself in 7 months. I got a great deal on ebay!

This is a great unit. A real bargain! My old series 1 finally died and I learned the LifeTime Service is the life of the unit NOT my life. LOL. Anyway this is a great unit.

Thought I was going to be able to use this w/out buying the service, but that's not the case. I will re-sell (hopefully?)

Puts cable company DVRs to shame for easy of use and features. I ditched my cable company's DVR to go back to Tivo because there's just no comparison.

WE LOVE TIVO, WE ARE NOT TIED DONE TO THE TV, WE WATCH WHEN WE WANT.IT IS SOOOO EASY TO USE, EASY TO RECORD, WATCH. INSTRUCTIONS ARE EASY TO FOLLOW, ANY ONE CAN USE IT. WOULD MAKE A GREAT GIFT TO ANY ONE. I WISH THE MONTHLY SERVICE WAS NOT SO HIGH, MAYBE THAT WILL COME BECAUSE THERE IS MORE PRODUCTS OUT THERE NOW.

I bought this unit not because it has a dual tuner, but because I thought that when material is recorded, that it would produce better quality that older models such as the tcd249080. I happened to find out that it produces the same quality. Tivo models with built in dvd burners produce better quality than the stand alone unit. I use directv, so I dont need dual tuners. Unless someone needs the dual tuners, I recommend sticking with the older units or buying one with the built in dvd burner.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY TIVO!! I fell in love with one when I went to visit a friend and I had to get one! Its great! Because of my busy schedule and always missing shows I'm interested in my TiVo helps me catch up!

This is a great alt. to your cable providers DVR and cheaper. I have 3 (now 4) of these and have been pleased throughout the 4 years I've owned these boxes. I only have BASIC cable and my wife is the primary user. She time shifts her soaps and some other shows. The Tivo is easy to operate and will spoil you. My wife can't live without it now.

I love it because I can record my shows and not miss any of them. My carrier changed so I couldnt have dvr anymore, but im glad I found tivo

Did not want to pay for overpriced DVR package from cable company so this allows me to save money and use it with which ever company I choose, whether cable or satellite.

Bought this Tivo and was all set to go and hook up with my network. Couldn't have been easier. I am very happy. The seller was top notch and would deal with him again.

took a few days to ship in, but overall its really nice. Clean all around although none of the cables are in the box other than the power cord.good purchase..
