TiVo Series2™ TCD540080 (80 GB) 80-Hours Video Recorder

ok this is one of those deals I didn't read it enough times and ask questions of what wasnt there. I have a series two already and thought I was buying another just like it cause it did say 80 hour so I get it and it only records one program at a time which means you cant even change the channel. Not one place in this persons add does it saying anything about it being a single tuner. Anyway I paid 50.00 for something that MAYBE worth 10.00. Who wants to tape every program then have to watch it while you tape????

I have had other DVRs (comcast, direcTV) but I had to get a TiVo. It has some awesome features, like broadband internet access to browse YouTube and shop on Amazon.com. There is also digital photo and home video sharing. I love the thumbs up/down feature and the TiVo interface (menu, etc.). I purchased mine new at a reduced price online and have loved every minute of it!!!!! Buy one, quick. Hurry.

received product in original tivo box, only thing missing was the manual but that's what the website is for. Otherwise extremely happy with the service.

Product was exactly as listed, time of delivery was perfect to what was given and the overall interaction was painless,'A' rate purchase.

I never realized that TIVO was a subscription service. If I had known this, I would never have bought it. How well the product works I will never know as I will NOT subscribe to the service. So, the mistake is mine for not researching the product more carefully. I already have the ability to record tv programs to DVD, so I have no need for this device.

I love the product in general. I does everything perfect. I wish it had a ethernet insert on it so I wouldn't have to purchase other hardware but it's perfect.

very easy to use would buy it again for other family. love being able to record without tapes or dvds to worry about

I bought the TiVo Series2 DVR. Unfortunately, the product was late in being shipped. When I noticed all the cables except the power cord were missing, I contacted the seller who promised the cables would be sent. The promised cables were never sent. Numerous follow-up attempts received no response. Pretty disappointed with seller.

It is really great product I got for an awesome price. It was a deal! The only problem is it not garaunteed and if there is a problem with your purchase tuff-luck.

I have installed Cable, Phone, High Speed Internet, for the Cable Company for 10 years. (now retired) What can I say If you like a Cadillac you will love Tivo. Everyone has a love hate relationship with Tivo. Me I love em, they do so much more than the cable company's DVR.
The Cable Company's are 5 years behind Tivo. This was a new unit with a bad hard drive. It's easy to find a replacement. Everyone has a friend of a friend who can work on computers so he could install a hard drive for you very easily.
You can share pictures, music, with your kids across town or across the country. Amazon has as many movies to watch as any cable company. Plus you can all watch the latest you tube videos. Netflix is great instead of waiting for the movie to arrive, just watch them on Tivo.
There are lots of good deals on a Tivo, Every one upgrades to a newer one. You can even get a lifetime subscription for your Tivo.

price was overall the resaon I decided to purchase the dvr, the discription was good and the picture was well taken.the tcd540080 is a model to have if you record alot like we do I will enjoy.

I bought the tivo DVR two weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive dvr. The Tivo Series2 size is perfect for any tv. My only complaint is that the menu system on the tivo makes you click four times before you can find any program in the menu or perform a additional functions. Overall, I'd recommend the tivo series 2 if you're on a budget.

The only thing I don't like is that you have to subscribe to the tivo service. It has nothing to do with the seller. I would jsut prefer not to pay more bills.

I like everything about a tivo, and its practicality and the convenience of it, and not being tied down to any one cable or satellite company for dvr experience. I bought this particular item for its purpose and fuctions and excellent price too.

It is a great DVR, but make sure you get a wireless adapter or USB/Ethernet adapter when purchasing, or you will have to make a trip to your local office supply store and spend $40, as I did.

this thing is great, am considering buying another but this time I'm holding out for the HD version... Have recommended this thing to anyone who will listen, I hooked up to the internet and through my home network we can watch any recorded video on any of our linked computers and have the option to download to our portable devices... GREAT is all I can say.
