THREE CAR GARAGE is a rarities album that includes original versions of songs from the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE album plus tracks from their self-distributed releases BOOMERANG and MMMBOP.

True to its title, the songs on THREE CAR GARAGE were recorded in a garage in Tulsa, Oklahoma, before the pre- and early-teenaged brothers Hanson achieved celebrity with their irresistibly perky hit "MMMbop." These recordings are authentically rough, but the lack of polish only adds to the listener's impression of witnessing the evolution of a fuller, more mature sound. The ballad "With You in Your Dreams," and the Jackson Fiveish "MMMBop," both of which were destined to be shined up and included on MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, stand out in particular as harbingers of the poppy R&B hooks and fantastic harmonizing Hanson would become known for.
