Great WWII Read
This is a truly great book, but nobody seems to know about it. There's lots of fiction and non fiction books about WWII in England,Germany and France, but this is one of those rare ones about this period in Italy. You get different points of view, from the residents to the refugees and the relationships that formed between them. I should warn you that this is a heartbreaking book. But it was so well written that even though it made me cry, I can sincerely say that it's been the best book I've read in a long time. I've made several people read it already, so I hope you take my advice and read it too.
