Album Notes Like Saint Vincent's Annie Clark, Shara Worden is a former member of Sufjan Stevens' touring band, making solo recordings under a band name. Worden, who has a degree in opera from the University of North Texas, has a startlingly pretty and malleable voice, and her richly textured arrangements introduce strings, harps, and other unexpected elements. A gorgeously orchestrated album of sweeping ballads, A THOUSAND SHARK'S TEETH has moments of ravishing beauty.

Starstruck by string sections, harps, vibraphones and horns, SHARK'S TEETH is imbued with classicist elements throughout, from the rush of 'Inside A Boy' to the tinkle of 'The Ice & The Storm.' Magnet
3.5 stars out of 5 -- There's enough bite surfacing now and again to keep the drama gritty instead of florid... Alternative Press
