Thomas and Friends - The Great Discovery (DVD, 2008)

I've noticed that the new Thomas episodes have computer annimation. To me, this is a cheap short cut. This movie is still made the way all of the earlier Thomas episodes have been made. Real models that inspire creativity in young minds.

As the trains prepare for the Sodor Day celebration, Thomas gets lost in the mountains. When he returns with news that he's discovered an old town called Great Waterton, everyone pitches in to help get the little village ready for the big day. Pierce Brosnan makes a guest appearance as the narrator in this charming Thomas program, which also includes a trio of mini-stories and fun karaoke and a music video for "You're the Leader."

MY KIDZ LOVE IT! MY KIDS LOVE THOMAS AND FRIENS THEIR ROOM IS FILLED WITH THE TRAINS, THE MOVIE IS GOOD!

I bought it for my three years old grandson. He loves it just like the many other DVDs relating to the trains. He has lot of fun watching it again and again.

My six year old still loves Thomas. He watched the movie twice and already knows all the songs. Great movie!!!

My 3-year old boy likes it but not as much as Barney or Mickey and friends. Very educational but sometimes he gets bored at the middle (considering he's only 3). But overall, this dvd is great.

My son really loves this movie of Thomas, he still loves his train sets especially Thomas and this movie is a great collection to his other movies and what an adventurous movie

My Son love this movie! But he loves all Thomas. Great for toddlers and kids. Very injoyable I love to see his face when he talks about the movie and all of the trains. He was so excited to get this movie in the mail!! We got a great deal on it and would totaly recamend this movie to all the kids who love thomas the train and friends as much as my little boy does.

If your kid loves Thomas like my 3 year old does, this is the greatest thing to ever happen to them. He has seen every episode over and over. This new movie, feature legnth, is a godsend. I'm sure it won't be long until we need the next "Thomas and Friends". Until then...

MY TWO YEAR OLD GRANDSON IS AN AVID FAN OF THOMAS. WE HAVE WATCHED THIS DVD OVER AND OVER AND HE NEVER GETS TIRED OF IT. HIS FIRST LOVE WAS CARS WITH LIGHTNING MCQUEEN BUT THOMAS HAS TAKEN LIGHTNINGS PLACE FOR THE TIME BEING.. I AM SO HAPPY I BOUGHT THIS DVD FOR HIM.

My son wanted this DVD for Christmas. This was a movie that came out this summer and was only in select theatres for one day only. We drove 1 1/2 hours, got lost for another hour but made the movie. We had our own adventure, and felt like I needed to get him this DVD. The price was a lot less than what I would have paid if I purchased this at any store, even sale prices. The DVD was new and received befor Christmas. Needless to say my son was extremely happy, and so was I.

I bought a resurfaced disc and was extremely pleased. It plays like new. The movie introduces a new engine so that's fun for Thomas lovers and teaches some really good lessons about sharing, not judging someone before you know them. My 2yr old grandson adores Thomas and all the other engines. Diesel Ted as a villan really made an impression on him.

The movie has excelent factors for children to understand such as : If you do something bad you get punished, if You don't follow what told to do you can get lost,hurt or even hurt others.So whether your a train or a child you should always do what is right .

The only thing that I did not like is the songs are sung too fast and the wee ones can not keep up.

This is a wonderful movie.. Mr. Bronson is a good storyteller and my sons just love Thomas and the new engine Stanley! This is actually our 4th copy of the movie as my son carries it around all day waiting to watch it (he has scratched it up or breaks the disk in his excitement.) It teaches the children about friendship and not judging others before you get to know them. There are catchy songs that my sons get up and dance to and my husband and I find ourselves singing along often... a great family movie.

All the Thomas DVD's have been a great hit with my grandson and myself, we watch them over and over. I was having a hard time finding this new title in stores so I bid for it and won, saving valuable time and gas. Got here in plenty of time for Christmas

My 2 year old loves this movie. His 6 year old sister enjoys it also. The movie is even decent enough for an adult to sit through. A really good choice for a train lovin' kid (or family).

I love it!!! Excellent movie, especially Pierce B as the narrator, he's very good at telling the story, very interesting to young viewer.

I needed a copy of this DVD and I liked the price. It was ending soonest and it was in price range.
