The Thomas Crown Affair (DVD, 2009)

Great Movie & Chemistry between the two central characters! It's rare that the leads of a movie are so convincing, and therefore gain the audience's support. You will feel like you are rooting for the characters to get what each one wants!

This is the original version of a very great Movie With great acting By Steve McQueen, This is much better than the remake with Pierce Brosman. Maybe I am just a big Steve McQueen Fan? The story line is interresting & easy to follow. Hollywood is making far too many remakes when the original is not in need of any new actors. Just rerelease the original.

PLOT: WEALTHY but bored Thomas Crown~ plots a complex bank robbery not because he needs the money~ he needs the 'THRILL"

THOMAS CROWN IS A VERY wealthy man and lives the good life from his hand made suits to his love for FAST planes and CARS to give him the "rush" he needs to combat boredom~ he carefully plots having SEVERAL MEN rob a bank from different entrances at the SAME time and NONE of them know HIM or each other~ THE FUN beings when Crown contacts the HEAD stooge of his gang~and gives him cash and the way to rob a bank~ not knowing he is doing the same with several men~ from HIS high rise he watches the the clever robbery~ later he picks up the LOOT that was dumped in a CEMETARY and flies to Geneva where he has the STOODGES PAID BY THE SWISS~ THEY NEVER MEET OR KNOW WHO HE IS~ but along the way the frustrated police and the FUN beings when FAYE DUNWAY the blonde beauty hired by the insurance company of the BANK guesses CROWN did it she just has to prove it~ and the CAT and MOUSE game beings~ clever~ great theme song Wind Mills of Your Mind became a major hit for this popular movie~ and McQueen shines~BUT the one we enjoy watching here is DUNWAY who is his equil in just about every way~ a "surprise twist" ending I will not give away~ but it leaves us knowing it was just one more "game" for Crown~ I GIVE IT A SOLID 9 OUT OF 10 FOR PLOT, AND ACTING BY MCQUEEN AND DUNWAY~

I'm a Steve McQueen fan, so I enjoyed the movie. He is a great actor and I own some of the movies he has made.

I'm very happy with the movie and the price and the vendor. The movie itself is very well done. There is a constant sense of anticipation. Steve McQueen is excellent,as usual.

My wife wanted to compare the new Thomas Crown Affair with the original. Needless to say, she thought the original lacked flair. It wasn't spicy enough!

Having enjoyed the remake of this movie with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Ruso, I wanted to see how the original version faired. I've always been a Steve McQueen fan in movies such as "The Great Escape" and others, so I purchased the original on DVD. While the story line is a bit different, it is truly a great suspense action movie considering it was made in the 60's. McQueen does a good job with the Thomas Crown character, and Faye Dunawaye is definately in the right role as the female investigator. I imagine this was quite the racy film in it's day, and while I was old enough to see it back then, I did not get the opportunity to do so. All in all, a great classic film with great actors and a good story line. The ending is a bit different from the new version, but fitting the story.

This is far better than the remake. It is a classic for sure. Faye and Steve are remarkable. Thanks I wanted this one for my library.

I purchased the Steve Mc Queen version because it is so much better than the Pierce Brosnan film. It was very handy being able to find it on ebay
