I could not put this book down. I sometimes would stay up till the wee hours of the morning trying to find out "what happens next??" Diane Setterfield writes a gripping tale. Vida's story was at times chilling (and creepy), but I was totally exhilarated at the end. I love Aurelius's character. He had such a sweet personality. I wish I could have sat down and had a piece of cake with him. What I like best was how the author added the unexpected twist to the plot and ties up loose ends. Setterfield is a stunning talent. *****5 stars
