They Shall Expel Demons by Derek Prince (1998, Paperback)

I was introduced to this book after a small group church meeting. I was talking to the group leader about my suffering from arthritis from the age of 11. I was 33 years old at the time. The group leader excused herself and asked me to wait a moment, and told me she had something for me. She came back with this book and 2 of Derek Princes tapes. I had no clue why she would hand me a book about expelling demons, but I trusted that she knew what she was doing and I took the material home. I first listened to the tapes and that got me very intrigued. I then read the book and what I discovered was a truth that has been hidden from the church for years. This book explains what demons are, how they show themselves and how we open doors in our lives to allow them to oppress us. Then step by step it takes you through deliverance. Once I understood that there was a spirit of arthritis that is prevalent throughout the Mesonic Temple ( I was involved in Job's daughters as a child, specifically at age 11, the year the arthritis began) I was able to repent of my association with that organization and took authority over the spirit and was completely and immediatly healed. You have to understand that the arthritis was very crippling to me, especially when it rained. The day after I was delivered, It rained in San Antonio (where I lived at the time) for 6 weeks. I danced and sang in the rain every day for those six weeks with no pain at all. This was now 6 almost 7 years ago and I have studied much more about this teaching with other resources and have been able to help many people overcome many things. This book was a corner stone blessing in my walk with God and I am forever grateful that I came across it. I hope it blesses all who read it.

Derek Prince is always so informative and mature about his beliefs. The Christian church thinks if it dismisses demons or pretends they don't exist they will be acceptable to the modern world. The Lord is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and Satan's schemes don't change.
Jesus taught the church how to deal with demons and Derek Prince restates what the Bible tells us through the eyes of many years of experience 'expelling demons'.
