I consider this one of Erroll Flynn's best Western genre movies. Action packed,enjoyed all the actors and their performances very much. This movie also seemed realistic in the telling of General George Armstrong Custer's life!

Although not very historically correct, this is one of my favorite all time movies. Both Errol and Olivia are at their best. The movie covers the life of George Armstrong Custer from the time he enters West Point, through the Civil War, to his heroic death at the Little Big Horn. A great love story, a great action movie, with plenty of supporting characters, especially Sidney Greenstreet as General Scott. If you were to buy one great western, this would be the movie to buy!

) I am a fan of Errol Flynn's movies. I enjoy watching any, and all of Flynn's movies. This movie is pretty old, and since then, different things about that battle have changed. Overall, it's a good movie!

If you are an Erroll Flynn fan this is a must have movie. It carries Custer from West Point to the Big Horn. Not as realistic as the newer films but has action and a continuing plot with basic history woven in also. I also have the colorized VHS and wish that was in DVD also.

they died with their boots onThough not historically accurate. The charm of the movie and chemistry between Errol and Olivia is undeniable. It is a movie that one can not stop watching once one starts. The movie itself starts out rather light hearted and rather comedic and gets more serious and dramatic as time moves on and finally ends tragiclaly. The final scene in which they appear together is especially poingnat as it would be the last time Errol and Olivia would work together.The last scene in the film illustrates the pain both of them felt plainly, for in life they both adored each other but their love went unrequited for many reasons. It was indeed the end for them as screen team. The tenderness and heart break of that scene is worth the price of the DVD alone. get it You won't be dissapointed
