) Jimmy Bryant was one of the first incredibly fast 6 string guitar players. He also brought out an album i believe called Fastest Guitar in the World, in which he just burns up the fretboard. Speedy West was of the same genre on pedal steel guitar..they played both country and jazz style..one of his old friends on the tour Sonny Richter (himself an awesome player) turned me on to his music when i was in college..he was tragically killed in i believe a car accident but i guess you could say he was the Larry Coryell of his era with very little if any electronic enhancements to help..good listen to for any serious guitar player.
